A QUICK Catch Me Up !!

Well, I have been married for just over a month, and am settling in nicely here in Grande Prairie, AB. Loving our new home, and all the friends (old and new) that I am getting to see. Not ready yet to start stamping, as my craft area has yet to be set up, but I am hoping I can get back into it come the new year. I get to be a stay at home mom again, so it will be nice to get back to daily crafting !!

First, a couple pictures of our home ...

This is the living room looking towards the kitchen.  I love the open concept, but yet the colors make it warm and inviting.

This is the view from the deck into the back yard, as snow was softly falling (more than 4 inches that day !!). I am LOVING the trees all around the house, it is so peaceful and serene ... until the boys wake up. LOL

The new family, the boys were so excited this day to be getting a new Dad, you can really see it in their faces.

Yes, I was FREEZING !! They had blankets on me in between shots, but WOW, was it cold !!

This is right now, my FAVORITE picture. It feels so Hollywood to me (P.S. - L♥ving my hair). We had such an amazing phototgrapher, and I was so grateful that she took the time to fit me into her crazy schedule - Kristin, you are the BEST !!

Thanks for standing by so patiently, as I have taken a break from the blog, and my crafting life. But like an true old friend, we keep coming back, so here I am!!

WOW - Fast Forward Motion

Everything is flying by so fast, so much stuff getting done getting ready for the wedding and also moving!!  I promised you the wedding invite, so here it is ...

We are so excited, and the boys are pumped for "our" wedding. Todayis tuxedo ordering day, and John is coming as well.  He is staying with my parents until the wedding - YAY !!

We have also found a house and are moving at the end of November when we get back from our honeymoon. So many things happening and yet everything is falling into place. Thanks for your prayers and words of encouragement, we really appreciate it.

Big Circle Wishes

I made a card again tonight, and I had such a good time doing it. I just got home from Grande Prairie, looking for a home for our soon-to-be new family. We think we may have found something, so I was in for making a cheery card.

 

Just punched out different DSP in different sizes, added some buttons, and pierced a bit around some of the circles. A few were raised on dimensionals, and the sentiment is inked up with markers before stamping down. The base is certainly celery and a strip of white to ground the circles. Hope you like it, tootles, have fun and happy stamping !!

Gentle Thanksgiving

The Canadian Thanksgiving is coming up in a big hurry - One Week Away !!

So, I decided to make a card to celebrate the occasion. I was excited to use my new stamp set that I received as a bonus from Stampin' Up! - Gently Falling (123804 - unmounted). I used a lovely technique to color my leaves.

 

I colored the solid leaves with my markers (pumpkin pie, old olive, and cajun craze) and then spritzed it with water before stamping. Then after it dried, I stamped the outline in Early Espresso, cutting the leaves out freehand. I punched out the circle with Very Vanilla, pierced the edges, and glued the bottom one and adhered the second one with a dimensional. I added the espresso ribbon and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and then spritzed the whole card with Vanilla Smooch Spritz. This would also make a great guys card, if you would keep off the shimmer.

A Family In The Making

 

Wow, I am SO BLESSED !!

Here is the first picture for you of us together, though if you are my friend on facebook, you may have seen more. A friend of mine offered us the photo session as a gift - check out A+ Photography.

We had a blast bonding together as a family this past weekend, and the boys love him as much as I do (no surprise there for me). Dylan cried for 3 hours after he flew back to Grande Prairie, and they already call him Daddy. Melts this Momma's heart to know that they are so accepting of this and truly feel that way about him.

Today is wedding dress shopping day, with my BFF Ronna and my Mom, because we SET A DATE !!

November 12 is the big day, and there is so much to do between now and then. Invitations, dresses, flowers, tuxes, catering menu, limo rental, etc. We do have a few things set in stone, but for me the coolest thing is Dylan and Jayden are going to walk me down the aisle. We are getting married as a family, and they tell everyone that ... "We are getting married", not "Mom is getting married". I am so glad that they feel so much a part of this!

Well, I had best get ready for my big day today, tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!

Freakin' Amazing !!!

If you are my friend on FaceBook, you know this, but if not ...

I AM ENGAGED !!

Wow, I am so happy and the boys are so excited to get a Daddy!! He is not from here, so I will be leaving Saskatchewan and moving to Alberta. I will still be stamping, and am hoping to get a class there too. If you know of anyone interested in being in one of my classes in Grande Prairie, AB, let them know *smiles*.

  We have no pictures together, but I got one to show you (not the greatest quality). Ahhh John, so handsome ...

No date is set, as of yet, since we need to make sure the boys are good with it. Honestly, I don't think that will ever be an issue, and in that respect they are like their Momma - they love to love. Jayden takes a little while to warm up,  but I already have to fight Dylan for the phone if John is on the other end ... LOL.

We really believe God has brought us together, and we are keeping things above board! We know how hard it is to keep sexually pure, but we don't want to sour the blessing that God has given us. Both having a second chance at love and we are both so grateful. God in his infinite mercy has given us garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

I'll let you know more when I know more. I have been absent for a bit and now you know why *wink, wink*. Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!

Simply Adorned

I also finally got a Simply Adorned necklace, and decided to fill it up. Since the Beau Chateau DSP happens to be my favorite right now, you can bet that it ended up in the charm!

 

I made sure to get the most of the flowers in the frame, adding some pearls, and frost white shimmer paint to the center of the flowers. The butterfly was added after edging it with the early espresso marker. I like the white space in it too, for some reason, and the colors are FABULOUS !! Tootles, have fun and happy accessorising!

Paper Accessories !!

I had a brain fart the other day, and decided to go with it. I didn't think it would amount to much, but I am glad I stuck with it. It turned out kinda cute!

 

 

Make a bracelet from paper in any color, to go with your next outfit. Thread the ribbon through it, add a few pearls, rhinestones, brads, or whatever suits you fancy. Tie it on and head out !!  Tootles, have fun and happy accessorising!

My Marina Friend

 

I used another pattern from the Beau Chateau DSP for this card. I made the flower (Tutorial Here) with early espresso and added the jumbo brad and rhinestone to the center. I then drew a flourish and added the rhinestones to it. The sentiment is also stamped in espresso. I'm calling this look "simply beautiful". It is a clean and simple card, but it has a beauty to it with all the elements, and it only took about 20 minutes to complete!! Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!
