One thing I love about Stampin' Up! is the support and ideas that they give their demos. I had NEVER held a stamp before June 26, 2005, and yet, I feel I have really grown. The biggest part of my growth has come from the big family at SCS, but a large chunk has also been from all the support from Stampin' Up! They send us a magazine every month that has ideas for shows, business tips, and neat technique ideas. But this last year, I had a chance to go a Regionals meeting right here in Saskatoon! They had so many displays and neat ideas from cards, to scrappin' to 3D objects.
They gave us a template for a scrapbook made out of the On Board Journal. I have made a few pages before this (like 6), just because people wanted to see how stamps could be used for scrapping, but I am just not into it - TILL NOW! Here is what I made so far, since it is not quite done...
This is the cover page. I used the Simply Scrappin' Kit, Tickets and Tokens. All my supplies came from this kit except for the one piece of ribbon on the first page.
I went to Hawaii for Bible School (YWAM) and then to S.Korea for 2 months on a missions trip. This was made, so that I would actually look at the memories, instead of leaving them in a box.
This is what I have so far, but I still have most of the S.Korea stuff to do yet. I really like this template, because you make pockets with the pages, so you have places to tuck things in. This was a lot of fun and I am quite proud of myself for taking the scrapping plunge. I have seen so many great scrapbooks that I was a little scared to try it myself. I actually have about 16 pages done so far, and I only worked on it for about 3 days!!
I have to finish this before we move, so I can get rid of the stuff that doesn't fit in the book. AND THEN, I will actually look at the memories, instead of having them in a closet.
I hope you enjoyed my attempt at scrapbooking, and seeing a younger me. Have fun and happy stamping!! Remember, you can always click on the pictures to make them bigger for a better look.
