Easter Blessings to all, and we will certainly be enjoying it at our house. I made the baskets for the 5 youngest kids on my hubby's side of the family. I used the measurements in this post here, to make an Easter tote.
I used tempting turquoise and pixie pink CS, as well as white. I stamped the little scene from Faith and Hope in black Stazon, using the aqua painter and my watercolor pencils to add the color. I used my homemade cloud template (here), to get the sky. I sponged it with bashful blue ink. I stamped the names using an unknown alpha set from Wally's world. I added green brads to the front of the boys baskets, Making Memories??, I think. On the boys basket handles (turquoise), I stamped the polka dot pattern from the Polka Dots and Paisley set in the spring mini, but the girls was a bit of work.
First, I cut 2 pieces of pink CS 2X 11. I took the guide off my corner rounder punch, and made a scallop edge on both the long sides. I then took my 1/4 circle punch and lined the top guide up with every other scallop and punched, first on one side, then the other, I wanted them to be scattered. I did punch 2 holes together, (in the last picture), so I could tie a ribbon through it. Then, I took my 1/16 punch and punched in every scallop along the bottom and top. I think it looks really cute, and makes the handle look girly and fun.
I can hardly wait to see their faces, when they realize they get to take them home, full of goodies. Have fun and happy stamping!!
