I have never really been a fan of altered clipboards, not because they don't look awesome, but because I really have no use for a clipboard. One day, awhile ago, I was a Micheals and they had these really cute 4 X 6.5 clipboards. The bonus, besides the size, was the fact that it was already painted! Oh, and it was only $5CA. So I took it to the till and brought my new toy home!
I had to show you a picture of the back, too. That was one of the main reasons I got it, since, you can stand it on the counter, OR hang it on the wall. I figure it will go nice in a kitchen to hold a recipe while you are cooking!
I used Mod Podge and my LilyKate 6X6 (Jacksonbelle Embellishments) paper to cover it, and then added the SU ribbon for some flair. I didn't want to stamp on the paper, but didn't know what else to do. I then remembered my SU On Board Accents chipboard, and pulled out a name plate. I smoosched (technical term) it in my versamark pad and then covered it with gold embossing powder. I heated it and then added more EP, so that the end result would be smoother, and added the snaps (Making Memories). I stamped the "J" and the "B"(Stamp Craft), and wrote the rest of my name on vanilla paper. I attached it to the chipboard and then used sticky strip to adhere it to my clipboard.
You could even put a picture in it to keep on your desk. Cover it with masculine paper and make a note keeper for your dad, hubby, boyfriend, etc. Have fun and happy altering!!
