OK, I finally got 'er done. This is not very hard, but sometimes it helps to see it to do it better, so here goes!
Gather round, ladies and gents, and get the supplies for today's tutorial. You will need paper (DUH...hehehe), your choice of stamp (Lovely as a Tree), your choice of inkpad (mellow moss), and a Stampin' Write marker (chocolate chip).
Quick tip : the inkpad needs to be the lighter color and the marker, the darker color.
Now, you ink up your stamp on the pad and turn it upside down. Take your marker and "thump" the brush end on the stamp randomly.
This is what the stamp will look like when you are done. I also colored the trunk to match the "thumps" in the leaves. If you click on the picture, you can really see the dark marks on the stamp. Now you "huff" on the stamp, to remoisten it, so you can put it to paper.
This is what you get when you stamp it down. The card that I was making last night was not working, but this is the card I made last time.
Hope you can enjoy this technique, have fun and happy thumping ... umm stamping...LOL!!
