I loved the colors chosen for today's challenge on SCS, bashful blue, certainly celery, and close to cocoa. I used all these colors, plus the added vanilla CS, and all products are Stampin' Up!, as well.
First things first, I cut all my pieces and sponged them all with the cocoa ink. I stamped the scrolled image in cocoa, and inked the bird in blue(Carte Postale). I then edged the stamp with my cocoa marker before putting it on paper. I cut it out and mounted it with dimensionals, so it looks like he is flying in. I matted this on celery, and cocoa, and then on the blue.
I used my aged copper hodge podge for the frame and stamped my sentiment in cocoa from the same set. I punched it out with my 3/4 square, and sponged the edges with cocoa before adding it inside the frame on diemsnionals.
I stamped my celery CS with the leaves in the same ink, and used my mat pack, piercer and the cocoa marker to get the faux stitching on the top and bottom. I added the ribbons on top, and matted the blue piece to this, before adding it to my cocoa base. This card also will go in the Dirty Dare challenge that Waxyo posted.
I love sponging on cards, as you may have noticed, and when the end result is vintage, I love it even more. Have fun and happy stamping!!
