HI I BOUGHT HOT KNIFE(WALNUT HOLLOW) AT MICHAEL CRAFTS STORE TWO DAYS AGO. I DID USE HOT KNIFE STRUGGLE TO CUT THE RUBBER. ITS SO TOUGH. SOME OF CUT ON RUBBER BUT BOTTOM IS PAPER. I AM AFRAID TO CUT WITH OUT PAPER. IT WILL BE BURN ON GREY SPONGE.HOW YOU MADE IT AND GOOD JOB. Can you show the picture that how you cut hot knife with rubber. Thanks

Donna

Mine does not cut the rubber. I trim mine out first and then attach to the foam and THEN cut. Mine heats to 900 degrees and is very sharp, but certainly does not cut the rubber.

Went to JoAnn's and got one today with a 50% off AC Moore coupon. This is an answer to prayer! We have to think of some more uses for it ladies!!!!!

Kathleenh

Cool! It's like your own die cut machine. I bet this is fun to use.

Ticia

I think that is awesome ! Was it hard to cut out neatly with you hand having to be so high up on the handle? For control. You know what I mean?

Beth

Wow!!! Just called my local Michael's and they have some so I'm on my way with coupon in hand!! Thanks so much for the information you have provided! As usual, you and your blog rock!!!!

Colleen

I am considering purchasing one of these, but I would love to know some How To tips first...anything you have learned through trial and error that you could share?

I meant to say....couldnN'T glide through the rubber not could glide through the rubber :)

I'm not a complete dork.....I just sound like one

Thanks again
Corinne

I bought the knife on the weekend and I'm not having the success you are....ughhhh. maybe I'm pushing the blade too deep in the rubber but I could glide through the rubber like it looks like you could. Could you post a couple of pictures using the knife and maybe I could pick up a few tips to help me (before I end up taking it back :(

Thanks
Corinne

I've been looking at that knife. How long did it take you? Do you prefer it now or the scissors? Was it hard to master?

By the way I love your blog. You are so talented.

That is so cool! Maybe a silly question - but is there anything else you can do with this knife? Or is it just for cutting out stamps?

Diane Lapointe

That looks awesome...will have to get one, what a nice cutter!!

Cathy

I just LOVE my new hot knife, although I don't think my trimming looks as good as yours. I didn't cut the paper either, but not because I didn't mean to... just didn't cut. I used a glass mat under my rubber.

Mary

Wow! That is so awesome. I'm definitely interested in that since I trim lots of customers' sets. Thanks for sharing the info.

Diane McCornack

Spill the details, i'm on the verge of giving the knife a try. Was it hard to get the hang of? Are there any tips or wish I had knowns now that you've cut out a few stamps?

Cough it up girl!!! LOL

I've gotta ask, what type of surface did you use to cut your stamps on?
