Ahhhh, the crisp air, the falling leaves, the geese in their V's flying south - so NOT what I want right now. But the challenge was to create and autumn or harvest card, and that is the mind set I went into.
There were actually 3 challenges, and you could combine them into one card. I chose to make the tent topper card, since I haven't made one yet *just breath ladies and gents, if you all gasp at once, the air will be sucked outta this world!*, and to use less layers. All products are Stampin' Up!, unless you read differently.
I just got the Give Thanks set (remember this??), and decided to put it to paper. I used chocolate chip, and vanilla CS, watercolor paper, and DP from a Costco block.
I stamped the basket first with brown stazon on the WC paper. I know you UK folks are thinking water closet paper, BUT it's not...hehehe. I then masked it off, and stamped the pumpkin, before watercoloring them with my watercolor pencils, inks, and my aqua painter. I then sponged the edges with creamy caramel and close to cocoa.
I made my mat by punching the giga scallop square 4 times and putting them together. NOW, this is not the Clever Lever one, this is the one that I have to step on to punch through the paper...LOL. I matted the image on this and used gold brads in the corners. I have lost my mat pack, so I need to order another one. I've decided to blame this on my boys, since it couldn't possibly be in the mess that is my craft room!! Tent topper - check.
I used a chocolate card base, andsponged the Costco DP before matting it. I wrapped the mustard ribbon like you would on a gift and tied a knot. I added the chocolate CS on the bottom that I punched with the ticket corner and added brads - still missing that mat pack. I then stamped my sentiment on vanilla with more mustard, sponge the edges in caramel and cocoa, punch it and attach it with dimensionals. Card base - check.
My bottom corner on the right looked a little empty, so I stamped some leaves, colored the with my aqua painter and inks, and added one with dimensionals and the other underneath. I think I may have to make a few more of these tent topper cards, I like the way they look. Tent Topper Card - CHECK !
Well, off to the city, and to take pictures of our house that we are building. Have fun and happy stamping!!
