Here is a card today, using AmyR's sketch. I think it turned out really cute, and I colored it again with my No Copics, No Problem technique.
I started with a base of Bazzill Kelli Green sized 5 X 5. I am trying to do cards of different sizes, I am learning to like variety...LOL. I added the layer of S.E.I paper from the Chickadoo line. I love how everything comes together in that line, INCLUDING the embellies!! I layered on some Bazzil Reed and then dotted with my black marker on each edge. I then went over the edges with a sponge and some basic grey ink (Stampin' Up!). I then wrapped the May Arts ribbon (Sheer Dots Light Blue), and fastened it down with one of the SEI brads.
The image, from the It's My Birthday set, was stamped with black stazon on watercolor paper. I colored it with the aforementioned technique, and then punched it out with my mega oval. I punched out some more of the Reed CS with the giga scallop oval, and dotted it with the black marker, as well. These were glued together, and I used dimensionals, to add the to the Kelli Green CS and the Bazzill Splash. These two pieces were also sponged with the grey. I used the sentiment in the set and stamped it directly onto the patterned paper.
It was looking a little "blah" to me, so I pulled out some Tulip puffy paint, stardust stickles, and dazzling diamonds. I used the puffy paint and dazzling diamonds on the cupcake (icing), and the flame of the candle. I then used the stickles on the brad. Then the ribbon needed some help, so out came my heat tool, to curl the ends. Another card for the growing pile. Have fun and happy stamping, so you can start your own...*wink,wink*.
