Yesterday's Card...LOL
I did have it all done, photos edited and everything, but didn't get back to the blog, believe it or not! Instead, I had some family time, and then a massage. After that, I got ready for my stamping class, had a bath and went to bed. Here is the card, though, and I know you are going to want a tutorial, and I am working on it *grin*.
Aren't those stamps gorgeous, I absolutely LOVE pansies! Want to know where I got them...HIGH HOPES!! They have some very elegant stamps, and the sentiment is also from them. They have an online catalog HERE, with 117 pages of amazing images. This image and sentiment is on page 41. They have such a broad range, there is certainly something there for everyone!
I stamped it with black stazon on watercolor paper, and colored it with my No Copics, No Problem Tutorial. I cut it out with my Coluzzle and then cut the elegant mat, and used my large corner rounder (the retired one) for the scallops this time, tutorial on the same page as above.
I stamped the sentiment in eggplant on the Soft Sky Prints DP, and faux pierced the corners with my mat pack and eggplant marker. I matted it on the eggplant CS, added the ribbon, and the knot right on the edge of the oval. Here's why!
It doesn't always work out perfectly, but there is no need to through away a scalloped oval that you have worked on. As you can see in the above picture, a strategically placed bow or knot, can hide a multitude of botches...hehehe.
Now, so far, this card is nothing out of the ordinary, except that my coloring skills are FAB (
)...LOL There really is something different, though. It is a birthday card for my sister, and besides the fact that it is late (her b-day is Feb.25), it holds her gift, but it is NOT a pocket card.
It is a pop-up card! How cool is this ?!? She will open up her card, and her gift card will be staring her in the face. This is the first pop-up I have made, and with NO INSTRUCTIONS, I just went on my own from some that I had seen. I really hope she likes it. The sentiment on the inside is High Hopes, as well. Have fun and happy stamping!!

This flower card is wonderful. Pansies are one of my favorite flowers. Joan

Beautiful card! I've been admiring those High Hopes images on various cards you make. There are definitely a few that I'm going to order soon.

First of all...love the card! Second, I sooooo love High Hopes!!! I love their cute little kid stamps and angels. Since your "connected", any chance they will be designing a gymnastics stamp? I emailed Tina already.
Lastly, my stamp club just asked me if I could make a pop-up card for meeting on monday...maybe I will have to "steal" another one of your ideas! LOL You are the best!

Very pretty, and thanks for showing a way to save my problem circles and ovals that don't come out right!

Beautiful card! When you use the corner rounder for the scalloped edges, do you use the new one from Stampin' Up or the retired one?
