A Rose Is A Rose
I have to admit, I am having a little trouble with this set, A Rose Is A Rose from Stampin' Up! It is so beautiful, and I really wanted something to replace my Roses in Winter (retired). I have started a few cards, and they have gone in the circular file. I think I was trying to stamp the same as with the RIW set, but when I went with something different, it finally turned out.
I stamped the roses with the new In Colors - baja breeze and pacific point. The leaves were done in kiwi kiss and old olive. The rose bud and two leaves on the bottom left were cut out and layered on top. This was matted on pacific CS, and then on some breeze that I had punched with the scallop edge.
The white underneath is the Bella Toile again, but in pacific stamped off, and then on the same CS. I added the tag by sliding the new kiwi ribbon through a slider I made with the Designer Label punch and a 1 3/8 circle. I outlined the whole thing with my black marker, and then add a few dots. This was the only thing added to the card with dimensionals. I love the vibrancy of the pacific point color, it is intense and rich.
Well, off to pick up Jayden from his first day of preschool, and then off to swimming lessons. Have fun and happy stamping!!

Beautiful, I just love these colors!

Fab card Julie. My favorite color is blue and this made my day!! Do not have that set but have other flowers that I think would do well on this card. Thanks so much for the heads up with making that tag. Have so many punches and need to learn how to use them more. You are one talented gal.

Julie, This is so beautiful! Love the colors. I really like the tag. It looks like the blue is outlining the whole designer punch. I have been trying to figure out how to do that, now I know. Thanks for a creative way to use my punches.
