I am LOVING my new Big Shot. I know, I have probably said that before, but I really am!! I am enjoying the fact that I can cut almost whatever I want in that thing. I wanted to see if I could cut something a bit thicker with the Sizzlets, and I figured out a way to cut craft foam. This is the way you layer your sandwich.
First of all, you open up the Tab 2 and lay it on the Big Shot, you don't need it. Then on top of the multipurpose platform, you layer your cutting pad, Sizzlets (you'll see what I cut in a second), then your foam and finally your other cutting pad. You will want them to be all lined up, I just laid them like this for the photo. Now you run it through and you will have perfectly cut craft foam. Wanna see what I made?
I made a few ornaments for our tree this year. This would also be GREAT for kids to make, since it is not complicated at all.
I punched out the scalloped circles from various CS colors. I used the giga scallop circle punch from All That Scraps. I took the snowflakes that I had cut out, and attached them in the center with a jeweled brad. On the one on the baja breeze, and also glued the pieces that came out of the center of the snowflake around the outside for something extra. I pierced around the edge with my Heidi Swapp Piercer, and then punched a hole for the ribbon. It only took about 5 minutes to make them all, and they boys figured it was now time for the tree...LOL

Amazing! I'm thinking of turning in my Cuttlebug for a Big Shot for the bigger bed size (shhh. don't tell my Cuttlebug, lol) Thanks for the great tips! Hope it's ok that I linked you up. :O)

I Love The Snornaments......They are so cool! Different color schemes different years, or different people and could keep the names off the presents! Keep em guessing what color they are.....ok now I have to make them! Thanks for the inspiration! Your blog is the greatest...

Julie~
Thanks for posting this! My Big Shot is on it's way, and I was hoping to cut out alphabet letters with the craft foam and Sizzlits, so this is very helpful!! TFS!!

Very cute and so quick and easy, too! I was under the impression the sizzlets wouldn't cut through something as thick as foam. Have you tried felt? I would love to use them on felt! Will nestabilities cut through felt? Oooh, so many questions!
