I had a really cool idea after I saw a card at Carlton Cards, so I tried to make one my way at home. That card cost $8, and here is mine.
Does this not look awesome !?!
I will be honest and say that the one is the store was a bit nicer, but this one I made, so for the recipient, it will be more special.
And I have the tutorial for you - YAY!!
I usually mount a card front on a white base. For this technique, though, I thought it would be better to keep it color.
I darkened the score line on the card, so you could see how to line it up. I don't line it up by the edge of the folder, but by the edge of the embossing area. You have to make sure to put the folder high enough on the CS, so that it will fit through the Big Shot (or your Cuttlebug), but low enough that you will be cutting quite a bit off.
Here is the way it should look when it comes out. You can see how the edge of the flowers comes nicely to the score line on the left. Now you need to cut along the edge of the embossing till the score line.
Then you add your layers to the inside and embellish. Have fun and happy stamping!!
