Dylan had a birthday party to go to yesterday, and he wanted to make a card. I pulled out a retired Stampin' Up! set that I use for just such occasions, Crayon Kids. I stamped the images on the card, and he got out his crayons to color it.
He was so proud to color a card "like Mom", and he asked me take a picture.

Hello Dylan, I love the image and I love your pretty colouring. Thank you for joining in with this weeks challenge.
love
Zoe

Don't you love it when your kids, or in my case my granddaughters want to stamp with you? Great job on the card Dylan.

Dylan did a beautiful coloring job and he's a great tutor for Jayden who was watching every move he made! It's wonderful they want to do what you do.

So cute -- Dylan and his card! :)
When I need a nice card from one of my kids, such as a teacher card, I have a similar technique. I have them choose a stamp, I stamp it and they color. Then I add it to a card the I design. It makes a nice team effort card and I have some control over the final card. ;)
I've also found it very helpful, esp. with younger kids, to "suggest" colors for them to use and just get them out so that we don't end up with black and brown Christmas cards!
Thanks again for the great posts!

This is so precious. The expression on his face holding his creation just tugged at my heart. My boys are well into their thirties now but I still treasure the many memories I have. Enjoy while the time is now and tuck these moments (and pictures) away for later years. You are truly blessed.
