Paper Pleasing Ideas

Through It All

This has been my song in the last few days.  The doctors have given us news, but we are choosing to believe that in this situation God is going to prove that He is mighty.

Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  The doctors are saying that the love of my life, husband, father of my children, has been affected by the C word.  I will not even type it out, because I want to focus on what God can do, and not on the symptoms or circumstances.  Man says things do not look good, but my God says that nothing is impossible with him.  That is what we are standing on ~ promises of God.

I am asking that you pray for strength, and endurance as we run this race before us.  Pray for peace, even for our boys, as they are not understanding why daddy is so sick.  Your prayers have really lifted us, and we are honestly at peace and resting in God's hands.  Thanks for those that have been standing in the gap for us.  We are stepping out in faith and accepting God's healing for Russ, and hope you will pray the same way.  Our God who made the earth, created us everyone, has solved this problem like it is nothing!

Thanks for the verses that were typed out for me, I will meditate on them daily!  May God keep you all in his care, just as he is watching us.

This Is Hard ...

It is BIG DAY tomorrow, and am asking for prayers warriors to raise my family to the throne of grace.  I will have an explanation, but right now answers are not forthcoming, even to myself.

For those wanting information about Isagenix, I HAVE NOT been ignoring you.  This has all been part and parcel and with what hails in the afternoon.

Can You Figure It Out?

I the better part of a half hour (hehehe) making this, now I have to make a few more.

This is the invite for Dylan's birthday party, and I am wondering if you can guess what we are going to be doing?  I do want it to be OBVIOUS, so that the kids will be excited when they first see the invite, without reading all the information.  The colors I used are all from the Brights family : pacific point, real red, and daffodil delight.  So, is it plain as day?  Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!

And There Shall Be A Parade

Since I FINALLY stamped a card!!!  Yes, I truly sat down and made a card last night.  Granted it is a clean and simple layout, but it has an understated elegance (in *my* opinion).

Yes, all of it is from Stampin' Up and there are 2 new products on this card.  The Antique Brad (#117273) and the sentiment is from Grunge Rock with basic grey stamped off(wood #117080 ; unmounted #120555).  I used 3 different punches on this card, as well ~ Two Step Bird (#117191) for the leaves, Fancy Flower Extra Large (#118073), and the 3/16 Corner Small (#119871).  I did do some paper piercing, as well, to ground my sentiment.  The flower was stamped with the A to Z stamp (#115711) in Marina Mist on Bashful Blue and distressed until the petals started peeling apart.  I did leave the flower together, though.  I matted the top two layer and then attached them to the base with dimensionals.

That is me on stage leading all the kids in their action songs.  I am excited to point out that you can see a gap between my legs.  OH MY GOSH - no rash in the thigh area this year, no pants starting on fire with all the friction on the material when I try to exercise.  OK, that may be a slight exaggeration (but maybe not) ... hmmm.  I do not remember the last time that I had that pleasure, maybe school ?!?  I will say, though, when I am swinging my arms up there, they keep waving when I am standing still.  Either I need to work on that, or wear longer sleeves .. hehehe.  Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!

SonQuest Rainforest

This week, at our church, is DVBS (Daily Vacation Bible School).  It is where kids come for a few hours everyday for games, fun, friends, and most importantly, learning about God's love for them.  And I am again a worship leader / bible verse activities leader.  The worship songs are actually bible verses directly, so as I teach them the songs, they learn their verse for the day to earn points for their teams.  I am hoping to get some stamping done this week, as well, since I have a box of NEW Stampin' Up! product just waiting to get inky.  Please pray for me, and the whole team, as we have well over 150 kids every year!  This is going to be a busy week, and I may need another vacation after this ... LOL.

Do you remember Lia?  I shared about her awhile back with her 75lbs loss.

Happy Birthday To My Babies

Dylan and Jay's birthday are a couple months apart, but it is so much easier to buy them things together.  This year being no exception, and they were SO EXCITED.  Here's why.

They got a mini quad to share.  Their cousins have had them for a couple years already, and the boys kept begging.  While, I was all for it, Daddy was a bit harder to convince.  Thanks to my sister and her hubby talking Russ into it, our boys got their prayers answered ~ literally!  Dylan has had that on his prayer list forever ... lol.  It was pretty funny to see my mom booting around on it, too!

I am still at our cabin and and will be until the 19th or so.  I am always so busy at home and I felt the need to take some time out to be with my boys.  Internet here is very sketchy and when it is up, it is VERY S....L....O....W.  I also have no real phone.  Sorry to those waiting for an Isagenix phone call, but I will get back to you that week I am home.  I need to keep my computer off for awhile and just be "Mom".  I will still be here once and awhile.  In fact, I have a recipe that I will be posting in the next couple of days.

I ask for your understanding as I take this little break.  Have fun and stamp a little something for me.

Enjoying The Lake Life

Well, I headed up to our cabin with family for the Canada Day long weekend.  We saw a parade this morning and came back to my family arriving and setting up.  The boys got a pail full of candy that will not last the day ... lol

But, while that is all good, the best part is the date today brings good tidings of great joy . . .
