This has been my song in the last few days. The doctors have given us news, but we are choosing to believe that in this situation God is going to prove that He is mighty.
Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The doctors are saying that the love of my life, husband, father of my children, has been affected by the C word. I will not even type it out, because I want to focus on what God can do, and not on the symptoms or circumstances. Man says things do not look good, but my God says that nothing is impossible with him. That is what we are standing on ~ promises of God.
I am asking that you pray for strength, and endurance as we run this race before us. Pray for peace, even for our boys, as they are not understanding why daddy is so sick. Your prayers have really lifted us, and we are honestly at peace and resting in God's hands. Thanks for those that have been standing in the gap for us. We are stepping out in faith and accepting God's healing for Russ, and hope you will pray the same way. Our God who made the earth, created us everyone, has solved this problem like it is nothing!
Thanks for the verses that were typed out for me, I will meditate on them daily! May God keep you all in his care, just as he is watching us.

I am keeping your family in my prayers.

Heartbreaking! Prayers lifted up for you! Sometimes it's best to concentrate on how God has prepared you for this moment. You will see miracles in your life as you continue to look for God's hand in all things. Love to you and your family.

Your faith is very strong, and I know that God will listen to all our prayers for Russ and your family and do what He thinks is best. Prayers also for those who will take charge of Russ' care as they need to be in tune with God's healing powers.

As soon as I read this Julie a song came to me that our kids sang at camp this year
"Our God is a great big God
Our God is a great big God
Our God is a great big God
and He hold us in His hands!"
Praying and KNOWING that God is holding you close.

In today's world Cancer need not be the end of it all. So many survivors exist, that we could not find a meeting place large enough to hold them all. Put your hand in the Lord's and He will walk with you through this trying time. My husband of 52 years is one of those as my 50 year old 2nd daughter. Your family will be in my prayers.

Ny thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. I can certainly emphathize with them as I went through this as a child with my father. God bless you all. God is good.

Julie, I am so sorry that this is happening to you. In August, 1980, a team of 7 doctors told me that the love of my lift would never live. He is here, he is healthy, and he and I believe strongly in the powers of prayer. Hugs and blessings to you. Please do keep us all posted.

"Therefore we do not lose heart, though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." II Cor 4:16
Praying for you from Maryland.

Our pastor taught us that the better translation of the verse you quoted is that "Nothing is too WONDERFUL for God to do." Only God can do wonders and I know that as we read of your journey it will be obvious that God is on His throne and is moving on behalf of your family, working wonders. Grace.

I also hated the "C" word. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May GOD provide you with all the strength needed during this time.

What Cancer Cannot Do
Author: Unknown
Cancer is so limited...
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the Spirit.
You and your family are in my prayers. Tonya
