I made this card the other night ~ I just needed to get some creative juices flowing, that always helps to calm me. Russ must have realized I needed it, since he told me to go.
The colors in this card are baja breeze, early espresso, and whisper white. I used one of the NEW folders, Elegant Lines (#119277). There is also a new punch used on the whisper white strip, Dotted Scallop Ribbon (#119275), as well as the standby Ticket Corner punch (#119867).
I stamped the image from Fast and Fabulous, a level 2 hostess set (not for sale), and then used the color spritzer (#107066) with the baja marker. The sentiment is from Just Believe (#120453 clear mount : #116948 wood) and I inked it in espresso, stamped it off, and then went over the word believed again with the marker, to really bring it out. I then sponged the edges in espresso, and distressed them with the cutter kit (#106958) *love that little tool*.
These layers are attached to the baja with dimensionals and and baja is adhered to the white base with dimensionals, as well. I used the new marina mist ribbon (#119257), and some adhesive pearls (#119247).
Thanks for your prayers - we can really feel God uplifting us in this time. Tomorrow is a CT Scan to see what needs to be dealt with first. As always, we believe that God is in control. He didn't look over one day and say "Oops, I forgot to check on Russ today, and look what happened." He also does not want us to sit idly by, but to act in faith. We are doing what we feel God is asking of us, and FULLY TRUSTING in him to take care of the rest. Worry is like a rocking chair, you are moving a whole lot, but it sure doesn't get you anywhere. Thanks, again, tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!

You are a truly talented stamper and continue to inspire me. I have enjoyed your blog for several months now and have seen your triumph with your weight. I pray that you and your family will triumph with this new challenge. Keep positive thoughts, check into "The Secret" book on tape....it helps with positive thoughts! I know that the stamping sisterhood is saying prayers for you. Thanks for the inspiration. God Bless you and your family.

Julie, I have not been checking my computer very often, but I have been praying for you, Russ, and the boys. So glad you trust in Him and submit your worries to him - faith is a beautiful thing in God's eyes - and your peace, a gift. I will continue to pray fervently for you and your family and thank you so much for keeping us posted. Love, Lia

Beautiful and fitting card. Our prayers are with you. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in January, so I understand what you are going through.

I subscribe to your blog through email and rarely comment. It is unfair to you that it takes this terrible situation for some of us to jump out of hiding to send our prayers. Here's my scripture verse I am sending in the hopes it brings you comfort: "In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free." Psalm 118:5

The card is just beautiful. I'm glad you were able to stamp. I'm sure it is torturous not knowing the future. But your faith will carry you, and I wish you the very best in the coming days. Big Hugs to you, and God's blessings to you always.

Instead of telling God how big your problems are; tell your problems how big your God is!
Keep your faith. Blessings Sheila
