OK, I have tutorial for you. If you need any quick gifts, this is PERFECT. They only take a couple seconds per ornament, so you have TONS of time to get them done in time for Christmas!! And they are so super easy, Dylan and Jayden got to do the fun part.
First you need to gather your supplies - kids are optional ... hehehe. I have some wooden word ornaments, ModPodge glue, a sponge paint brush, and glitter(I used the Stampin' Up! glitter). I got my ornaments at the dollar store, 4 in a pack for a BUCK !! I also have really cheap cookie sheets covered with parchment paper for easy clean up.
Get a nice layer of glue on your brush, you don't want this dripping, just wet. Brush it onto the side of the ornament that you want to have the glitter on. This is the part of the work that I did.
Then let the kids go to town (or yourself - glitter is SOO FUN !) and dump onto the wet glue. By using the parchment, it became a easy funnel to get the glitter back into the jar. Let dry overnight.
Here is a close up of one of the ornaments, and all 12 completed. Seriously, I don't think this took us more than 10 minutes for all of them. It took longer to get all most of the glitter cleaned up. Jayden went to school the next morning with glitter still on his face. They had a blast making the gifts for their teachers, and I had a blast together with them. SO pretty, and everyone loved them. Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!
