Well, I had not stamped this past week, so today I had to GET BUSY !! Here is the first card that I finished.
I really like this card, for the fact that I used Valentine colors, but DID NOT MAKE a Valentine's card !! Sorry, but I don't need to many of those this year. Instead, I am making cards with IDEAS for Valentine's Day that you can use, but putting other sentiments on them. Stamp an "I Love You" in the frame and you are set! I used retired DSP (patterned paper), but the card stock is cherry cobbler, black and vanilla.
The frame was made by punching the 1 3/8 square in the DSP , and then stamping the sentiment on the vanilla CS underneath. That stamp is from the Afterthoughts Hostess set. And here is a little tip for you.
I had already put the whole card together and realized I needed more embellishments than just the ribbon. I wanted some brads, but did not feel like having the tabs of them inside. So, I punched out 6 black circles with the 3/16 hole on my crop-a-dile and glued 2 together times 3. After attaching them to the card, I covered them with Crystal Effects, and now they look just like the real thing.
Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!

Hi Julie,
WOW! You've outdone yourself again! I really like this card and the options to change the greeting makes it so versatile. My favorite part is your "faux brads" tip! That made me start thinking about using different shapes, sizes, colors and patterns!

Great idea as I love brads but don't always like to have to cover the backs up on a card. I'll have to try that hint!Hugs from Michigan
