I have been making 12 cards over the past couple of days. I feel, they are very beautiful and made them for an upcoming occasion. I sure hope that they will bring the intended feeling when I give them out.
My Dad's family was all called in yesterday to say their final goodbyes to his mother. I did go and say my last farewell to her awhile ago, but have not really slept since then. It is hard to see how much it was like Russ, and that is emotionally shocking to me. Also the boys were there (didn't know she was that bad), and I have had to deal with that, as well. They did not fare well going in and seeing her and then seeing me kinda breaking down.
I made the card more like a postcard, with front and back sides. I used the Lovely As A Tree set and the Soft Suede DSP from the prints pack. The other colors are always artichoke and very vanilla. As a postcard style, it makes it readable from both sides when you put it in a clear envelope. This would also make a great guys card, just change out the sentiment. Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!

Your card is absolutely gorgeous! What a wonderful idea to make it postcard style so it can be read from both sides. I am sure that the recipients will take comfort from it!

So sorry to hear you have occasion again to make a card like this. It is indeed lovely. Hang in there. I know you and the boys will get through this again. I have been in a similar situation where something that seemed like it wouldn't bring up all sorts of stuff has done exactly that. Take gentle care of yourself. The tender, grieving heart is unpredictable. Hugs!

Hi Julie,
SO sorry to hear you and your family are again going through so much heartache. I pray that our God, the God of all comfort, will be especially close to you...and keep you in His perfect peace.
HUGS,
Linda

Such a beautiful card for such a sad occasion. So sorry to hear you're having to deal with more sadness of a loved one so soon. LOVE how you show the shadows of the trees. May have to try that!

Very pretty. And a good idea to make many when you have a design as pretty and thoughtful as the one you made.
