I am here and missing all of you!!
Boys are now on their second day in school, and actually loving it. I think they really missed seeing the friends through the summer months. I also just got back from a mini trip, seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Dylan and Jayden were LOVING the waterslide at the hotel we were at, and I had to go up the stairs with them a few times myself. It was a pretty fast ride down to the bottom, but so much fun.
I am trying to get my life organized right now. The kitchen cupboards are first, getting rid of stuff that I haven't used in forever. But my head is swimming with ideas for my new bedroom. I am making it mine, calm and serene. Here is an example I made up on the BEHR website.
A smokey aqua for the walls, the same cream trim I have and the same beige carpet. The basic grey color is going to be the accent for my curtains, and linens, while the duvet is THIS ONE from Ikea. I also got a ton of black and white pictures for the walls. I am excited for the change!! I'll take before and after photos so you can see the difference, it will be HUGE ... lol.
Also, I have been trying to find a job that would suit me and my schedule of house building, Zumba classes and stamping classes. Well, I prayed a lot about it, because it CANNOT take away from the boys. I need to be with them, and they are my first priority. So many options were gone over for months.
I AM GOING TO BE A NAIL TECHNICIAN !! I start my classes on September 12, and am excited to work from home, and make my own hours, but still be available when I need to be. Seems like September is a month of big changes, but I hope to be back to posting ASAP.

Wow - that's great! Good luck on your new adventure!

Hi Julie, You and the boys continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope and pray that all will go well for your new career and that you will still have a little time to do what you love to do.
Hugs and blessings,

I have also been cleaning out..my son's room as well as my own. I want to paint too, but can't decide on a paint color. For the most part I've been going through my son's clothes - baby, toddler, and up to about size 16. He's now in a men's M and is only 12! This work is exhausting and I can't wait to go back to work next week! Remember you can do anything you set your mind to Julie!

Glad to hear all about your exciting changes - becoming a nail tech, and re-designing your bedroom for 'you.' I did this myself when I lost my spouse and it really helped me to realize I was now on my own. Happy that the boys are loving school and you will all be in a routine again now that summer is over. Love to all of you and God Bless all of you.

There is a VERY unique nail product that only one person does, here in Tyler (that I know of) and it seems much easier to learn and was much easier on my nails than the older form of artificial nails. It's a product called Backscratchers. Instead of dipping the wet brush into the powder and putting that ball on the nail to shape it, the nail is painted (like fingernail polish) and then the nail is dipped into a small tub of powder. this is repeated 2-3 times to form the nail and then smoothed easily to finalize the shape. Just thought while learning a new trade you might be interested in a method that might start earning you money quicker and easier. Good Luck with your new venture!

Brilliant minds - together. I have spent the last two days ridding my kitchen cupboards of unused stuff and now have empty spaces. Love it! And I was wondering just the other day whether you are still involved in house building and you've answered that question. The bedroom plans look beautiful and calm. Am so pleased you've arrived at a satisfactory answer to your 'what should I do?' and know you have your priorities in the right place. Love to you and the boys.

Julie, that's great! I always say where there is a will, there is a way! Can't wait to see photos of your "new" bedroom. I used to hate change, but now that I'm older I think change makes everything fresh and new. It's all in how you look at a situation and your attitude about it! Big Hugs and Good Luck on your new adventure.
