This week, Lindsey and I decided on "inspiration" as a theme for the Stamping Friends Reunion challenge. It is amazing what you can find in everyday life around you to give you the mojo you need to make a card. So, I headed to Pinterest as my jumping point and found a great picture that I used.
First off, I am a rainbow kind of person. I love a mixture of all colors, and my husband can testify to that. He was buying me roses and couldn't figure out what I would not freak out like other ladies do. Truth is, wild flowers, or a mixed flower bouquet are more me. A mix of colors is such a cheery thing to see, and so these plates really appealed to me. I want to have these plates just to look at - NO EATING !! Lol.
And so, I decided to follow this inpsiration for my card ...
First, I embossed the bashful blue CS with the clouds and proceeded to add the scallop rainbow layers : real red, calypso coral, daffodil delight, lucky limeade, bashful blue, island indigo, elegant eggplant. I offset each layer, to make the rainbow look fuller and then added the white ribbon. My dangling butterfly is punched from polyshrink, melted, and then added to the card. The sentiment is from Up And Away. This would make an great Graduation or retirement card, hey ?!? Why not go check out what inspired Lindsey this week ? Also, if you decide to paly along, post a link here, or upload to Splitcoast with the keyword SFR18. Have fun and happy stamping !!
