The challenge this week was to use vellum on our cards. I absolutely LOVE vellum, but I rarely use it for more than punching out to use as accents. I decided to make a card front with it, and it turned out AMAZING. I just wish it photographed as nicely.
I used soft sky as my base, and then ran the card stock weight vellum though my sizzix in the snowflakes embossing folder. The lighter weight vellum tears easier when you emboss it, so I love the CS weight for this ! I also embossed my sentiment in silver and then added some star dust stickles to the snowflakes raised areas. I then adhered some rhinestones to the center for a bit more bling, perfect for the season.
I then glued the vellum on along the left side, so I added the silver ribbon to hide the glue. That is the one thing about see through vellum that can suck ... LOL. But the beauty outweighs the bad ! Why not head over to see what amazing creation Lindsey came up with ?? play along if you get a chance and upload the card to Splitcoast with the keyword SFR44. Have fun and happy stamping !!
