Sparkle Purse - FREE Tag Page!!

Here is the purse from the tutorial yesterday, but I added the tag.  I also put a ton of stickles on the white snowflake.  This is for the Sparkle Challenge over at the ATS Blog!

  You can click on it to see it better.  On the tag, you can see that I had to fuzz out the name, but I made it specifically with the space at the bottom to write your information.  I also made it to be a free template to print off, so you can make some too!  It will do nine at a time, so one sheet may be enough for you.

  To print off the tag, click on the picture to pop it out in its own window.  Then right click on it and save it to your computer.  Then print away!  It should print perfectly on a full size sheet of plain paper or CS.  It would also be cool to stamp a snowman image on the back and color it it, to follow though with the whole theme!

Another Purse :)

Here is another quick teaser!  I have to post the tutorial in a bit, because now Jayden had chicken pox.  He did get the vaccination, so I'm hoping that it won't be as bad as Dylan.  The pictures are all edited, I just don't have the time to type it all up right now.  Come back in a bit and it should be up, or sign up for email notification on your left under my picture ...

You can see I changed the lid a bit for this one.  Instead of using the punch along the bottom, I marked 1 inch in from each corner, and then I cut it off on the diagonal.  Just for something different and pretty.

Prepping For 2010 !!

Whether we want it or not, 2010 is sneaking roaring up on us pretty fast!  I am doing my final classes of the year this week, and this is one of the projects we are creating.  It is the same thing we did last year, but it is often requested, so I brought it back.

There is no stamping involved, just used patterned paper to go with the seasons of the months.  We didn't add anything this year, since I found they were harder to put in the checkbooks.  The directions are in this link, and the 2010 Calendar is HERE.  These make GREAT stocking stuffers, or little gifts for co-workers.  They take no time at all to put together,and are great at using up scraps of DSP that we all have in piles waiting to be used.  Have fun and happy stamping!!

 

Eskimo Sayuri - ATS Preview

This project uses 2 stamp sets that will be released - AmyR Snowflakes, and Eskimo Sayuri.

I stamped the snowflakes all over the mini sack in tempting turquoise, pretty in pink and lovely lilac.  I then used the same shades to color in my image with Copics.  I even colored my tissue paper to match !!

A cool thing about my image is the textures I added.

  The little girl has Liquid Applique around her hood and cuffs.  The little bear is covered in fun flock.  He is so fuzzy, and the kids just love "petting" him.  Click on the picture to see it closer.

Treat Box Tutorial - Now On Video!

Here is a finished box to feast your eyes on.  I think it looks nice with the ornament on the front, a little added Christmas for the front.

Cottage Wall Journal

I am in LOVE with the DSP package, Cottage Wall!!  Who knew Orchid Opulence was such a gorgeous color?  In combination with the rich razzleberry and old olive - PERFECTION!  So, I said I would show you what we made for our class last night...

 And who woulda thunk that you could use Extreme Elements for the focal stamping on an elegant centerpiece?  Using the right colors - and pairing it with flowers - can really bring out the beauty in stamps made for the boys ... LOL.  I did also sponged the edges and stamp over it all with the Sanded BG stamp.

The ladies are going to be using this as their technique journals.  When they learn something new in the class, the instructions will go in here and a sample that they will make for future reference.

  Here is what the finished product looked like.  Mine will be sitting in my car, and not in my purse!  I do not want anything to break off.  Hope you have an amazing day, have fun and happy stamping!!

Review A Recipe !

I'm actually not giving you a food recipe, but a really cool 3D recipe!

  When my grandma moved into a home back in April, she had a garage sale.  As grandkids, we got to go through everything and take what we wanted.  I remember Grandma used to always carry this around in her purse, and though I did not take it home that day, I took a picture.  I figured I could make my own, just using the poem - and here it is!

 

I took the poem and printed it off on the computer, cut it out, and made a recipe box to fit in my purse.  I added some ribbon, primas and self adhesive pearls to the front.  So what prompted me to finally make this now??

Flowers In Her Hair

I loved the crocheted flowers in the Stampin' Up! catalog, but not for cards.

 

Are these not the cutest barrettes you have ever seen?  I bought the clips, and punched a hole through them with the crop-a-dile.  I used the rhinestone brads to attach them and bent the prongs all the way around to hold them in place.  I got my niece to wear them for the pictures, and she was as mad as  4 year old gets when they find out they can't keep something.  She is going to be getting a pair for her birthday, though *wink, wink*.  Have fun and happy stamping!!

Thank You Box-in-a-Bag

It is the time for year for those of us with kids in school - teacher gift time!!  How perfect is this for someone that has more patience for our kids than we do.  Though, I speak for myself...there is no way I could be a teacher.  I have ABSOLUTE respect for those that enter that line of work!

I used THIS TUTORIAL to make my box.  This is for the ATSDTC50 today, and by making them for all the teachers, you could earn a spot as a guest designer!!  I used AmyR's Thank You Sentiments, since that is what I would want to say to all the teachers.

The flower is made with my Flower Creations Die (which I noticed after my post yesterday is sold out ... hehehe - get your name on the waitlist!!).  I used the Scribbles and Swirls Die for behind the flower.

I added gems to the scallops and the swirlie to finish it off.  I think it looks pretty elegant and it is so useful!  Head to the ATS Blog for more samples, have fun and happy stamping!!

Get Well Soon!

OK - just so you know ; that bug is in a jar.  I tied the ribbon around the top, and then realized that you couldn't tell anymore.  AHHH !  Oh well, still cute...hehehe, especially with all those stickles on his wings.

As you can tell, this is not a card, and since this was a get well set that Diane created, I wanted to make something different.

  It is a mini Kleenex holder!  How awesome is that, and there is a person I actually made this for.  I have a friend who gets sick a least once a month, we all just wait for it.  Next time, I am going to give her this.  She'll HAVE to get better then, won't she ?!?
