Paper Pleasing Ideas

Ladybug ATC

I am going to a HUGE upline meeting in Edmonton next weekend, and I joined 4 different swaps - AAAAHHHHHH!!  Unlike Peggy, I am SO NOT the queen of swaps.  But I also like getting so many different ideas, so I here I stamp.  The first one I got done was the ATC swap, and this is what I made.

Isn't it sweet ?!?  I think, I will make more of these (with a few changes), if I am invited to another swap with Jen.  Now for the deets...All products are Stampin' Up!

I stamped the polka dot petals from Pick-A-Petal in real red on whisper white.  I then cut them out and glued them together, to make the wings of the ladybug.  I punched two 3/4 circles out of black, gluing one under the bottom for the body.  I cut one side off the other, and then glued it to the top to make the head.

I punched the white with the ticket corner punch, and the stamped the sentiment (Three For You) on the bottom in red.  I wrapped the black gingham around and when I tied it, I also added a bit of red gingham.  I matted this on the black and then added the ladybug with dimensionals, and with my black marker, dotted a little trail.  I hope they like it, have fun and happy stamping!!

Finally - why do I always wait till the last minute!  I love this one, so cheery and fun.  I used all Stampin' Up! products unless otherwise noted.

I use lovely lilac and white CS, stamping the Sweet and Sassy circles on the white with pretty in pink, certainly celery, and apricot appeal.  I stamped the butterfly on with black in a random pattern, so they would look fluttery.  I then punched them all with the small oval punch, and attached the ribbon in the opposing corner with sticky strip.

I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line the sentiment (SAB So Very) under the oval and then stamped it with black.  I used dimensionals to attach the 2 layers.  I added glitter glue to the green butterfly for some added bling.  I think it is quite cute.  Have fun and happy stamping!!

Garden ATC

Another set of ATC's, and another 10 to go.  All products are Stampin' Up!.

The CS is always artichoke, chocolate chip, and watercolor paper.  I stamped the flower basket from Long-Time Friend with stazon brown, and watercolored it with inks and my aqua painter.  I then sponged the edges with creamy caramel, and then used the cutter kit to distress the edges *love that little tool*.

I then punched the artichoke with the word window punch and attached it to the image panel with the last of my SU copper brads (why oh why did they retire all the copper embellishments?!?).  I then matted it on chocolate and artichoke.  The picture doesn't really do justice, since I couldn't get my light right.  Have fun and happy stamping!!

Sweet Little One

I am in the same ATC swap that AmyR is in, and here is my first set.  I used the ribbon challenge as my jumping off point for mine.  All products used are Stampin' Up!

I used chocolate chip, regal rose, and white CS. I used the corner rounder punch the way it was meant to, and actually rounded the corners - I KNOW!!!   Seriously though, I think that is the first time I have done that.  I then sponged the edges in close to cocoa.

I stamped the hand print from I'm Here with pretty in pink, and used my double rectangle punch to thread the pink gingham ribbon through.  This is new for me, since I just got this punch!  I then stamped the sentiment in chocolate from the new set, Holidays and Wishes.

I used sticky strip to adhere all my layers, I want them to stay together!!  Since ATC's tend to be handled more, I wanted to give them the extra strength adhesive.  They measure 2.5 x 3.5 inches on the biggest layer.  10 down, 20 more to go.  Have fun and happy stamping!!

P.S.  For all you demos out there, these make AWESOME business cards, just stamp your contact info on the back.  I give them out to someone who has never stamped or scrapped before, and they leave a great first impression!!

Can I Toot ?!?

NOOOOOOOO - I am not going to , I mean toot my horn!!

HOKEY FREAKIN' DINAH!!  I am a little teary eyed over here and *quite excited*.  I'll catch you up...I got an email from Beth (MyPrecious) on SCS about a month ago, and she asked me a question.  My response was  "NO WAY, SHUT-UP!!!!  Are you serious?!?"

Now, why would I say that word to one of the sweetest women on that website?  Well you know how on Sunday, I usually do the Featured Stamper challenge...TODAY IT'S ME!  I am totally bouncing (ask my hubby) .  I have explained how it works, but for those that are just on, here is what happens.

We are given the name of an awesome stamper (on this day, ME...blushing) and a link to their gallery.  The challenge is to CASE the card by changing two or more things on the card like the colors or the stamps used, but it should look like the other card.  Seriously, though, I could think of a great deal many other stampers to have this honor before me!!

Thanks Beth for making my month, probably even my year, with the honor of even the consideration.  It is awesome when the hard work you do is noticed.  And since I was the Featured Rubber Diva today, I took the time to have a nap and recharge, instead of stamping, but I still have something to post.

You remember this post (ATC's) saying I was in a swap? Well I got them back - YAY!

Aren't these so AWESOME!?!  I was so blessed to even have been asked to join such an elite group of stampers, and can hardly wait to do it again *hint, hint*...hehehe.

First ATC Swap !!

I am doing an ATC swap.  These are so fun, because you have such a little canvas, but so many possiblities.  This is what I created for my spot...

I used cameo coral and very vanilla for my CS.  I stamped the flower stem from Natural Beauty TWICE in black!  If you look closely, you can see that I popped up the biggest flower.  That was a lot of work, but the finished product is so much nicer.  I colored it in with ink from the inkpad in coral and always artichoke.  I then put stickles on the popped up flower and the one on top of it.  I  sponged the edge in artichoke and used my oval punch for the tab in coral.  I went out and bought my first BLING (Multicrafts Canada) just for this project and added that to the tab.  I stamped the sentiment from Warmest Regards in black.  I put it all together with sticky strip, so it will not fall apart.  They are all numbered and packaged seperately.  Why all the fuss, you ask??  I AM SWAPPING WITH SOME OF THE DIRTY DOZEN!!!  HOKEY DINAH, and I was invited!!  Don't ask me how, but if they let me do it again, I AM SO IN!  Yeppers, genie1314 PMed me herself.  I still have it in my mailbox, to make sure I am not dreaming...hehehe.  She also has an awesome blog, so check it out!

All products used were Stampin' Up!, except for the bling and stickles.  Try making an ATC, they are so fun and you can get a lot done in a hurry.  I love to use them as business cards.  The measurement is 2.5" X 3.5".  Have fun and happy stamping!!
