Paper Pleasing Ideas

Some Beach, Somewhere ...

Love this new set from Stampin' Up!  It is perfect for summer or those hot winter vacation photos.  It's called Tropical Party, and it will be in the upcoming Summer Mini Catalog ... hehehe.

Don't you just love unmounted RUBBER stamps!!  Here is ANOTHER great reason to get them :  You can manipulate them on your block.  Those palm tree images came from just one stamp,  but I stuck them down on the block in different directions, so it would look like 2 different images.  You could never do that if it was stuck to a wood block!  My hammock was made with the wide oval punch, and I just cut it down.  I tore a strip of CS to sponge my beach and used a scallop circle to sponge my sky.

I love the bright colors in the new Island Oasis DSP, as well.  The hammock is from one sheet and the matting is from another.  I am using this set in the Control Freaks swap, and this was a card that didn't make the cut.  When I do show you what I came up with, though, you will be SHOCKED !!  Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!

 

New Color Palette - I'M IN LOVE !!

WOW, the controversy when I posted the retiring colors ... hehehe.  So here is the new line up for you!

Truth is, I'm LOVING the change.  Yes, I will have to spend a bit to get the colors that I don't have, but now I don't have to spend any on the colors that I NEVER use!!  Now there is only 40 colors instead of 48 + neutrals. That too me is awesome.  If you were smart enough to not sell your In Colors, there is only 5 ink pads you need to buy.  That is less that 6 new In Colors.

No, Stampin' Up! is not is in trouble, I think they are trying to make it easier - and less colors is easier!!  And simpler.  Yep, I'm pretty excited!

WOW - Wish It Was Mine !!

So, when I got home from the city, I saw this on my porch.  Yes, my UPS guy stacked them that nicely!!  I took a closeup of what it says on the top of the boxes, and I would be more excited if I knew this was all my stuff.  As much I would love to stamp with it, I'm sure the ladies in my classes would love to have me deliver this all, so I am going to pack ALL of this up and hit the road.  There is just over a month left for you to have a Sale-A-Bration box delivered to your door, so make sure you don't miss the FREE STUFF - SHOP NOW!!

A Hearty Valentine

Don't ya just LOVE sneek peeks ?!?  This card is made with TONS of new product!  The light pink heart DSP is from the Sale-A-Bration Welcome Neighbor 6 X 6 paper pad.  The DSP squares are from SPARKLAY DSP pack, Sending Love.  If you click on it, you can see the glitter on the pink pattern.  The stamps are from the new set, I {Heart} Hearts, and there is a stamp in there to coordinate with the Heart To Heart punch!!  This card is 3 X 6, and is close to cocoa and pretty in pink.  I didn't have any brown brads that were small enough, so I added 1/8 punched circles and covered them in glitter.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Only one more day, until the goodies start.  Have fun and happy stamping!!

 
 

Mounted Or Unmounted

It's usually the storage that is the issue, so let me show you the old versus the new!

The same amount of stamp cases and the same amount of stamps.  ALL OF THEM STAMPIN' UP, and ALL OF THEM RUBBER!!  One pile is mounted on wood and one on foam.  Which would you pick to fill up your shelves?  I can say for myself that smaller pile is the direction I am going for!!

Minty Milk

WOOHOO - I can hardly wait or the new mini to be available to you guys!  You are going to have so much fun.

I used a the new Milk Carton Die, and the Love Bandit stamp set to make this adorable box.  The patterned paper is from the Sweet Pea pack, and it is AWESOME!

Dylan immediately grabbed this when I was finished, and so I had to make another for Jayden.  Dylan, ever his mother's son, tore off th tag and proceeded to glue it onto the front.  "I didn't want a tag, I wanted it decorated".

This box is about 3" high, and 1.5" on each side, perfect for party favors OR VALENTINES!  Kids would have so much fun decorating them for their friends in school.

Stampin' Up! Unmounted Peeks

I got my first UNMOUNTED stamps from SU and figured I should give you a peek of the awesomeness that is wood-free!

First, it comes is a MUCH smaller case.  When you open it up, the instructions for them are printed on the backside and you can red them right through the plastic case.

It takes up  a lot less room, and this case weighs about 1/8 of the same set in wood mount.  This is a 10 image set, so add those ten blocks and a larger place to store them!  This is one of the best things that could happen for me.

The picture on the left shows how you can add the sticker to the back of the foam.  This way, you can see the image through your block.  I only did it to the one, for the picture.  I don't feel the need for the sticker, I just like the foam better.  All the stamps out and ready to be put to work -YAY!

Stampin' Up! is going UNMOUNTED!!

Can you cheer with me ?? I am doing a serious happy dance over here.  Starting on January 5, 2010, you will be able to purchase stamps with your choice of wood mount or clear mount.  There will be blocks for sale, as well.  There store in a DVD case made just for them, so storage is not going to be an issue.  They are definitely cheaper than buying wood mount, and both stamps use the same kind of rubber!  They is still no compromising with quality from Stampin' Up!
