I wanted something elegant and saw this card from atomicbutterfly and my jaw hit the floor *thud*! OH WOW, what a stunner, no wonder it has been favorited TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY ONE times!!! I love simpicity of the 2 colors and decided to try my hand at it. Products are from Stampin' Up and Cuttlebug.
I used the scalloped square punch to make the opening in the black, but I lined it a gain to make a rectangle. I then put it through the cuttlebug with the Textile folder, and then rubbed the white craft ink overtop. Some may have a really complicated system to make sure that the images are in the center of the frame, but I just laid the black on the white and drew around the inside with a pencil - I know, I know *BRILLIANT*...hehehe. I then stamped my flowers in basic black that I stamped off 2 times to make them grey, and then put the sentiment over top in black. I then erased my pencil marks and mounted it with dimensionals onto the white, which was matted on the black. Simle but stunning, if I do say so myself *sometime I toot my own horn*.
Try a 2 color combination, they can be so stunning in their simplicity. Have fun and happy stamping!!
I love this card. It's so elegant!
