I just signed up for a subscription to your blog. It was so easy. I should have done it a long time ago.
A family favorite comfort food is homemade baked macaroni and cheese.
Baked Mac and Cheese
1/2 pkg macaroni shells
1 and 1/2 tins tomatoes
Velvetta cheese (small package)
1 cup cheddar cheese
Cook noodles. Then in a casserole dish layer with the noodles, tomatoes, Velveeta cheese and cheddar, continue doing this till all ingredients are layered. Just like making lasagna. Crumble cracker crumbs on top and then bake at 325 for 35-40 minutes.
This is delicious!! Everyone who has ever tried this wants the recipe. Enjoy! LB :-)

One of our favorites is Chicken Roma. Easy, easy. Use Italian Shake n Bake on Chicken Breasts. Cook as directed. Take finely grated sharp cheese, mix with mayo just to moisten, add 4 slices cooked bacon and small amount of chopped green pepper. After chicken is done - spread mixture on top and broil till nicely melted. It is DELICIOUS!!!

Thanks for the ideas in your blog! Here's a good, easy recipe. I make a beef roast (3 lb) in the slow cooker with onion, celery, ketchup, barbeque sauce, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and chili powder. Cook for 7-8 hrs on low heat, shred the meat, mix it back in the sauce, and serve on buns! My picky kids even like it!

One of my favorite foods "Souvalaki" w/rice or roasted potatoes.I'll share my recipe with you, this is great on the B.B.Q
Chicken or Pork Souvalaki

HMMMM, favorite food!!? Let's see....Lately I've been making this Chicken with mushroom dish- easy and yummy.
Just take some boneless chickenbreasts and cut into small pieces(about 1"), brown in skillet with a little olive oil and a pat of butter, remove from pan. Put about two big cans of sliced, drained button mushrooms in skillet and heat, add about 1 cup of white wine (I use cooking wine mostly)and cook until wine evaporates. Add chicken and some whipping cream (about 3/4 cup)and some salt and pepper to taste. serve with pasta. Even my kids love it.

I found an awesome recipe for chili and I love it (as does everyone who I have served it to).
Anyways the recipe is here:
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Its-Chili-by-George/Detail.aspx
I double the cayenne, add ground red pepper, and substitute 1/2 of the chili powder with hot chili powder (can you tell we like it SPICY!) and NO pinto beans
too bad it's getting warm now and chili just isn't the same in the summer!

I have to say that I have been reading your blog for awhile and love the tutorials too. Your cards are awesome!!!
My favorite food is a Portuguese dish since I am married to one. It is called Portuguese Poor Man's Dish. Very healthy and so addicting. We eat it 3-4 times a week in the summer and the kids love it too. Not too appealing to look at (for some) but the taste of the combination of ingredients makes you want more. It is basically a salad - green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms then add boiled eggs, boiled red potatoes (small bite size), 2 cans of tuna. Cool the potatoes under cold water before you add it to the "salad" so not to burn the lettuce. Toss all together. Scoop on a plate and top with S&P to taste, garlic powder, lemon juice and olive oil. Toss together and ENJOY!!

My favorite supper right now would have to be sweet rice. I know sounds wierd! but my husbands grandmother stayed with us through the Christmas holiday. She made if for us! I first asked my husband what goes with it, he shot me one of those You've got to be kidding looks! It sort of tastes like tapica, so that will send you in one direction or the other. all it takes is rice, evaporated milk, 2% milk, and sugar. we can eat it for days!
I love your blog! all your tutorials~ the best! thanks for the chance to win!

My ultimate favourite is chocolate and then pizza...but I don't think that's what you want to know. So I'll tell you about the latest and great way I bake Salmon. Cut some garlic, drop to the bottom of baking dish, cover with Olive oil (butter tastes better!) Leave for a while...longer the better. Salt both sides of the salmon steaks, drop on top of garlic and OO. Leave for a bit. Again longer the better but I've left it on for as little as 30 min. Cover with foil bake at 350. When half done pour white wine and dill. Bake until done and whine reduced to half volume. I am not a big wine fan so I let all of it evaporate.
Hope you enjoy!

Hi! I love all the blog candy you are offering! What fun! You do wonderful work and I can't wait to try the scallop trick you taught with the corner rounder. Our favorite food is a version of Shepherd's Pie that Southern Living called Beefy Potato Casserole. Ground beef (or Boca meat)-1 pound- mixed with a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of whole corn, a cup of grated cheese and half cup of milk, in the bottom of the casserole dish. Then make mashed potatoes from scratch or use the frozen potato blobs to make mashed in the microwave. Put over the meat and bake 20 minutes at 350*. Then put a cup of shredded cheese on top and bake 10 more minutes. Great comfort food!!

Hi Julie - great blog!
I would have to go with Mexican for fave food. I love chicken fajitas and b/c I'm trying to lose a few pounds I find them easy to keep low-fat without losing any of the great flavour.
Hope you find some ideas for supper!

Favorite Food? Is there anything else besides chocolate? Good quality dark chocolate. If I have to be specific--Trinidad chocolates from "Fannie May" in Chicago. I fully expect to see them when I get to Heaven! :D

Hi, love the idea. My favourite recipe I got from my mother in law. It's my hubby's favourite meal so when we first got married she sent me all his favourite recipes. It's oriental chicken wings, which is a little long to post, but if you are interested in the recipe just let me know! Thanks for the chance :)

Lets see, our favorite meal... Fiesta Frito Chicken.
Boil some skinless boneless chicken breasts. Dice. 3 cups cooked rice. Mix chicken, rice, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 can rotel tomatoes, 1 can corn, drained; about 1-1/2 cup shredded cheese. Mix well. Put in greased 9x13 pan. Top with a handful or two of shredded cheese and Frito chips. Bake at 350 until cheese is melted.

Chirashi,,, it means "lunchbox sushi" because you dont have to roll it or make it fancy.
Good ole rice in a rice cooker when your rice is finished cooking add a little rice vinegar(you just made sushi rice), there is also canned chirashi seasoning you just open and mix in, if you have a good asian store near you, add your favorite raw fish ,cooked shrimp or eel, serve(nothing faster) remember to ALWAYS buy sushi quality fish.(if it smells fishy never eat it raw,} this is also good with cooked fish,, takes 3 or 4 minutes on a george forman grill and it is healthy.

Great candy! My favorite meal is indian taco,s,my kids love them too.You make chilli, cut up cheese, lettuce tomato for toppings, also have sour cream and salsa if desired. Now for the taco shell, you buy frozen bread dough, unthaw, cut the dough into slices, pinch the dough until round, then you cook the dough in hot oil on the stove.I find a deep fryer cooks them too fast.A wonderful meal.

One of our favorite things for dinner is breakfast - scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage and toast! I always have these items on hand, it's easy. Sometimes I add waffles to the mix.
