First off, I have had a lot of people emailing me about how to take the guide off the corner rounder punch. Here is the pic, and I will also link this in my scallop circle tutorial. You can click on the picture for a larger view. P.S. - The watermark is on my hand, cause my excema is REALLY bad right now...hehehe.
Secondly, I got some goodies in the mail today. Oh and my UPS guy dropped by with another stamp set - Noble Deer. Back to the mail, I got 6X6 Basic Grey pads from Lindsey's (Jacksonbelle Embellishments) online store - SHE ROCKS! I am a bit biased, though, cause she did send me a STUNNING card in a RAK once. Seriously, it was fast service and a great product, so check out her store!!
Now the challenge today, was to use our markers. I didn't want to color on the stamps, so I went with the color spritzer. Why??? I asked myself the same thing, since that tool is a challenge in itself. I think I mastered it though, and here is the card I made today.
OK - I also had to cut out my new rubber and use it!! I did another shadow box card, only because I have had this idea with these 2 stamps set *forevah*. All products are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.
I first scored my creamy caramel CS and then stamped the evergreen from Lovely as a Tree in chocolate chip. Then I used my coluzzle on the #5 line and cut aournd - JUST to the tree. I used my SU paper snips to trim around the tree, and then sponged all the edges with the chocolate chip ink. I then took out my color spritzer, with the chocolate marker and spritzed the whole thing.
On the white, I stamped the largest deer (Noble Deer) in chocolate, and used my aqua painter to make the ink run. It makes him very softly colored in, which is what I wanted. The ground, trees, and sky, are all colored with the aqua painter and inks from the lids of bashful blue, old olive and garden green. I held it all together, using the copper brads in the SU vintage brad collection.
I love the way he looks like he is coming from behind the tree. Have fun and happy stamping!!
I love this shadowbox card! Such an awesome idea!!
