WOW - tough challenge for me, NO FLOWERS *gasping over here*! It is fine if I choose not to use them, but to not give me the option, harsh, I say, HARSH. But it turned out not too bad, if I say so myself...hehehe. The card was to be to Gramma from the kids for Mother's Day, but I had to make the card. Since I have 2 boys, I went with a very *boy* card.
I used all Stampin' Up! products, unless I indicate otherwise. The CS was buckaroo blue, chocolate chip, real red and white. I stamped the linen on the card base with night of navy, and added the faux stitching for the yoke and other seams with my black marker. I spritzed the pockets with night of navy AND bleach, to make them look more real and then stamped the pocket from Pocket Fun in stazon black. I cut them out and matted them to the card. I stamped the fogs with stazon black on white and watercolored them using old olive from the pad lid. I cut them out and glued them on only by the body, so the rest is free. I punched the little hearts (unknown punch) for them to hold - to give to Gramma.
For the belt, I took the chocolate CS and spritzed it with water and crumpled it up. I then flattened it a bit and sponged chocolate ink on top for more dimension. I punched out the buckaroo blue tabs with the word window punch to make the belt loops, stamped them with linen and faux stitched them as well. I glued them over top the belt, and wha-laa, someone's back end...LOL!
On the inside it says "From both of us, with love!" I have seen a few cards, using the pockets to make a card like*pants*, and this is my version. Hope you like it. Have fun and happy stamping!!
Adorable!! I am sure Gamma is going to love it! Chris

This is so cute! I really love it. It's definitely a real boy card and one that Grandma is going to love. I love all the details, especially the belt loops and faux stitching. A lot of horrible pant-puns are going through my head, but I'll spare you ;D

Now, why couldn't I come up with something like this? You gave us some great ideas on how to make the belt and jeans look so much like jeans should look like. Thanks
