I love the wax crayon resist technique, so I used it on this card, to make a WOW statement. All products are Stampin' Up!
I stamped the Lovely As A Tree evergreen on glossy in black stazon and let it dry. I then took my wax crayon and drew on the tree, and the ground. You can see where I drew, since it is the white patches on the image. I then sponged the tree with old olive, the ground with close to cocoa and the sky with soft sky.
I took my swiffer and rubbed over the wax crayon to remove it from the glossy CS. If you click on the picture, you can see that I added dazzling diamonds to the "snow" to make it sparkle. I matted in on olive, adding the cocoa round tab punch with my sentiment (Cute Converse) with gold brads.
I stamped my soft sky with all sizes of snowflakes from Snowflake Spot in sky and then tied the cocoa ribbon (retired) around it. I then matted this onto the cocoa base. I finally attached the image panel to the card with dimensionals. I totally {heart} this color combo, and I could see it being used quite a few of my Christmas cards this year. Have fun and happy stamping !!
Oh! Who needs layers when you've got such a gorgeous main image? Beautiful work, Julie! I love the Soft Sky snowflake background, too!
