Something is not right about this card! I really liked the flower there, but not sure if the brad is no good. Or is it the tabs on the image panel...hmmmm not sure, may have to make another. Why not, I have no housework anyway...LOL. All products are Stampin' Up! unless I type differently.
I started with the color challenge - basic grey, purely pomegranate, and bashful blue, and I added shimmery white CS. I stamped the flowers from Garden Silhouettes after inking them with my basic black, rose red and always artichoke markers. I did the black first and stamped it off before adding the other colors, so it would be greyer. I then used my color spritzer with the basful blue marker, to add some color to the white - HEY, I fit the color in!! I matted it on grey and used my All in a Row stamp for the stitches around the edge in grey. I also added the wrod window tab on the top with an vintage pewter brad.
I stamped the floral BG on the pm in the same color and added the grey stitching along the top and bottom with grey. For the next layer, I used textured pom, matting it on grey and stitched it, as well, but on all sides. I then added the image panel with dimensionals, used my word window punch to extend a strip of paper and added the brad. I use a Bitty Bazzill Blossom from All That Scraps, attaching it with a $ store brad. I wanted to use a Pretties flower from Stampin' Up, but they were either too small or too big. I then used the mat pack to get the placement for the 3 brads along the side. Next time, I think I will add ribbon instead of the word window tab and flower on the bottom. We'll have to see what I do next - maybe while Jayden is sleeping, as I call out - BEDTIME *wink*. Have fun and happy stamping!!
This is truly amazing! I love this card very much!

I honestly cannot find a thing wrong with this gorgeous card! I love it just the way it is - it's perfect! BTW, thanks for the great video - I've wanted to make that star in the SU! catalog for ages, and now I know how to do it! yay!
You did a great job on the vid and the card! TFS!

I love the color combo! Maybe the flower is too stark like Lisa P. said so brushing the outer parts in pomegranite might keep it from detracting from the rest of the card. Nice job!

Are you kidding? Wow! My first thought was how absolutely incredibly beautiful this is! I sure love the gorgeous floral background. Just fabulous!

I love it. When I grow up, I want to stamp as well as you do. OK, I am a grown up, but I am still a new stamper :) Thanks for sharing it. It is so pretty!

Are you serious?! The card is perfect! You just need a little boost, right? *wink* I love the colors you chose and it's an awesome layout...and the embellishments...just right! Don't change a thing...really!

How about dying the flower a lighter color of pomegranite (or whatever color it is?) or maybe a coordinating green color? I, personally love the card with the mixture of soft and hard- i just think the white starkness of the flower stands out too much. Good work, as always!

Julie,
I love it when the artist is "unsure" and others can chime in and co-create ;^)* There is a lot to love about this card!
The stitching with the stamp is totally clever -- but perhaps there is too much of it, weighing the lightness of the branch down... the flower with the big brad comes off as a bit stark and, well, more rigid than I think you intended. I do like the brad, but maybe it is the flower... type and color more than anything... then you have so many types of flowers going on ;^)*
Yada, yada, yada... YOU are the artist. So I look forward to seeing any "remake" you do!
Love your work!

Ain't nothing wrong with that card girlfriend!!! It's absolutely stunning!!!
You might be just a little toooooo hard on yourself!!!

Well, I think you have mixed soft flowers with harsh hardware and I don't care for that look and maybe that is what is bothering you. I like the sketch, just don't care for the flowers and the metal mixed together.

I like it very much...I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Love the color combos.

You can send it to me! It's beautiful!
If I changed anything, I would try removing the top tab and brad; for some reason I think that would add more balance...but it really is PRETTY like it is!!! :)

when I saw the card my first impression was-
the flower and the large brad need to be removed because it totally detracts from the entire card-
just a thought
good luck!

I love it like it is! I don't think you should add or take away anything!!

This card is absolutely gorgeous just the way it is!! And the way you used B.Black marker on the branch portion of the stamp and then stamped it off before applying the Rose Red and Artichoke is just pure genius! I love the effect.......Just gorgeous!!

I like it a lot; love the colors and the layout!

I like it too. I think what could be changed is the upper tab. It just quits could you make it as long as the bottom one? It doesn't "look" like it comes around the center section but just "glued on" over the top. See the edge? Make it a little longer and then you can tuck it under the big gray rectangle. Or have it wrap around to the back of the card?
But I like it!

HOKEY DINAH, JULIE.... It's GORGEOUS! I'd be happy to give it a loving home too.....

Well, I guess I don't see like you do because I really like this! I think that the brad in the center of the flower goes well with the other metal on the card. I really like the stitching and the colors are fab! (I really should try out this color challenge!)
If you really don't like it Julie just send it to me. I'll give it a good home and set it right next to my Julie Stainton and Cindy Lou Who Originals for my inspiration! *serious*
