Mistakes have sometimes been the reason for great findings in science-why not paper crafting? I love this altered star! Great idea! thanks for sharing...

Too cool! I watched your tutorial (well done, by the way!) and made a star after watching it. I love it! That is so fun and easy!

Jenn Brown

Oooh! I just love when a mistake is even more beautiful than the original plan! Thanks for passing this one one!

Love the star with the cut outs, very unique!

Heather the MooseLover

Great story. Even better star. I bet she felt much better when she saw what she inspired!

Amy E.

I am with the others. I love this star even more than the first star. Just cutting the centers out makes it so pretty!

Jana Emmert

Awesome twist, Julie!

I think I almost like this better than the regular star, a wonderful mistake. BTW... thanks for your 'Star' tutorial. I teach a monthly card class at my church and I try to share something extra each month so ladies can see that paper crafting can be more than just card making. I used your turorial (and gave you all the credit), to teach them how to make the star. They loved it and where thrilled that it was so simple to make! You are the best!!

Absolutely splendid! I've got to try it.

Wow, Julie! What a great and beautiful way of turning a mistake into a gorgeous creation. I hope to make these at my next Technique class. Thanks for a great idea. I will be sure to give you credit, of course. :D
