For those with email subscriptions, click on the Paper Pleasing Ideas in the header, and it will bring you right to the post. I have had tons of positive response from this, but please let me know how you feel! Now to the card.
OOOOOO - do you like it?? The new stamp set, I mean. This is going to be a hostess set in the new catalog, and I got it as a gift from Shelli, CEO of Stampin' Up! All active demonstrators received one, and I'm loving it. It is called Time Well Spent.
I stamped the 2 flowers in black and colored them in with my Atyou Glitter pens from All That Scraps. I cut them out, and layered them with dimensionals.
My card base is pink passion, and I layered on some awesome DP (unknown) from my good friend Chrissy. It is just as sparkly as the flowers!!
I stamped the sentiment on white with black, and sponged the edges with passion *the ink, not the action...hehehe*. I added this to the card, after I colored this with the glitter pens, as well. I then tied on some ribbon, and added the 3 brads to the side (making memories). Finally, I added the flowers with some more dimensionals. As you can see from this shot, the sparkles are amazing. This card is showing off some serious BLING!
In fact, I'd have to say this is one of my favorite new products out there, right now! Well, I need to stamp some more, so I'll catch ya later. Have fun, and happy stamping!!
ETA - The DP is DCWV Pocket Of Posies, Thanks Dawn!!
I knew the minute I saw this card that I would end up caseing it. Here's my version using Uptown DP: http://stampmom.blogspot.com/2007/12/time-well-spent-card.html

This looks great! really I love the look and the message in it.

Love this card. Your work is always great! I subscribe to your email and liked it much better the old way where we got the whole post. But whatever way you decide to keep...I will still continue to come over here to read it.

This card ROCKS!! LOVE the bling!!! I receive your email and I see two lines, but if I just click on the name, it pops up your whole blog...it's just fine. Love your ideas!!

Gorgeous!! I love all the sparkle and bling. I subcribe to the email and I prefer seeing the whole entry as well.

I love what you did with this set. The dp choice is great.

Great card. I actually prefer seeing the post in the email too. It's quicker for me and easier to go back to things for inspiration. thanks!

Love your card. Super cute. Aren't we blessed to get special treats like this from Shelli. Can't wait to see the new catty.
I wanted to put in my 2 cents (for what it is worth) about the blog thing too. I prefer the whole post to show up too. Just makes life easier and when I don't have so much time then I don't miss anything. JMHO. You have to do what is best for you.
Thanks for sharing with us all! You have a great blog.

Well, since you asked. :) I prefered it also when your entire post including pictures came through on my reader. I have a few of my stamping blogs that do it this way and frankly, unless you really entice me with something in those first few lines, lots of times I just keep cruising. I understand the dialup pain though. I know almost nothing about blogging/feeds but is there a way to set up some subscriptions to receive the whole thing and some to do it this way?

It doesn't matter to me which way you go with your Google Reader. I actually just prefer to come to your blog daily. Hope it's okay that I liked to it from my blog? That way I don't miss it!
That DP is actually DCWV Pocket of Posies. It's a gorgeous paper!

First Love the card! So bright and sparkly!
Second, I am not a huge fan of the shorter email! I subscribe to the email and I prefer seeing the picture and card right there. Just my two cents....

Love the sparkles -- so girly and charming -- thanks for sharing such a pretty card. I've got to do more sponging, it adds so much depth...

LOVE the card! I haven't had time to play with my set yet... too much to do for Christmas still! I love that blingy DP... I think I have some too... it was in one of those Glitter Stack pads. FUN!

I love the card and I love the glitter. I may have to get some of those pens now.
I also agree with Kellie. I use google reader too and liked it so much better when the full post came through the reader. Now I only see 2 1/2 lines from your post and none of the pictures. I love your blog so I wanna see it all in the reader cause I don't want to miss out on anything!

I love your blog and get a lot of great ideas from you. Thanks you all your hard work!
I liked the old email system better. It was more convenient for me to see the whole project in the email rather than a teaser that makes me go to another page to look at the full project.

I use Google Reader too and prefer the way you had it. I've noticed several bloggers are switching to this new format as of late. In all honesty, I've been skipping past most of these because I have a limited amount of time to browse and don't want to wait the extra time for the page load and resizing.
That said, it's your blog. So, I say, do what works for you!

Gorgeous Julie!! My daughter is a tween, and she would absolutely love this card!! Her birthday is in January so I'll keep it in mind!! Thanks!

Cute card! Like Cindy, I think I prefer the old way too because of Google Reader. I like being able to read without having to click on everyone' site, especially when you check as many as I do :-) Thanks for the chance to voice our opinions!

You are the first person I have seen use this set!!! Can't wait to ink it up myself!!! So pretty!

Your card is so beautiful . Perfect color with markers and cardstock. You are first prize award.

Oh Julie this is stunning!!Love the colors and the flowers are cool!!!!!

I like the new email format. Before the change I almost always would have to click on the heading anyway to read the message because my screen wouldn't go far enough to the right so that I could see all the words.
Posted by: Elaine | November 29, 2007 at 10:36 AM
Wooo! I love this card!! The colors are great and now you're making me want some glitter pens, lol! Great stamps.

I love the new set and love your card! It doesn't matter to me how you send your updates! I just know I WANT TO GET THEM!
Posted by: Cathy | November 29, 2007 at 10:25 AM
I much prefer receiving a full feed since I use Google Reader. I have over 300 blogs in google reader that I look at and there's only a handful that don't have a full feed. I will still keep looking at your blog, though, since I love your work so much!! :-)

I use Google Reader and I liked it better when I could see the whole post without clicking to the post link. I could read it in one step instead of two.
Love the card! The bling is awesome!!
