I was inspired by two things to make this card today. The first was the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast and the second was Nichole's card on her blog. I really loved that window, but wanted to go a little further with it.
I made a scallop frame with my Nestabilities. It takes a bit to get it centered, and then cut the frame, but I think it turned out very pretty and elegant.
I used purely pomegranate textured CS for the base, and white for the frame. I used cardstock weight vellum for the window, embossing the flower from Embrace Life. I then masked it off and added the leave sprigs, embossing those, too. I colored them in with my markers, and then rubbed the excess of the embossed areas. I used my new rub ons to add the sentiment on the bottom left corner. I finally added the white taffeta ribbon to the top right, using my rectangle punch to thread it through the card.
Now I have a quick little tutorial on how to center your images for you window.
If your card front is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4, then cut your vellum 1/4 smaller (5 1/4 X 4). Center it over the window area on the card, and use a pen or embossing stylus to emboss a template about 1/4 from the window. This will let you know where the window is going to be, and it will be hidden when you are done. Have fun and happy stamping!!
Julie,This card is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial.

Hi Julie, I love the card very elegant. I've not bought any of the nestabilities do you have to have a special machine or tool to use those?
