OK - you know how you go shopping, and you see things from a stampers perspective?? Well, if I bought two boxes of Mr.Christies cookies, I would get a free cup to alter. W-E-L-L, I wasn't even there to buy cookies, but I could see all the possibilities, so I bought some Oreos, and Rainbow Chips Ahoy so I could take this home...hehehe.
I came home, took out the insert, and traced it onto my white CS. I stamped the big flowers from Bud Basics in cameo coral, the smaller flowers in ballet blue, the leaves in certainly celery and the centers in apricot appeal. I outlined just the flowers with the respective stamps in black just to make them POP a bit. I then sponged the edges in apricot and then used the color spritzer with the same marker around the flowers.
Is this not an awesome summer color combo? It almost makes me forget the -30C or -22F (I said ALMOST). Speaking of the colors, I am going to start something new - Julie's Color Concoctions. On Sunday, I will post a new color combination for you to try out. You can post back here with a link to your blog, or on your SCS gallery put the keyword JCC01, so everyone can check them out. If you do not have all the colors, feel free to substitute something close, so you don't have to miss out!
JCC01
- apricot appeal
- ballet blue
- cameo coral
- certainly celery

I hope you enjoy this new adventure and can play along, have fun and happy stamping!!
would love to know where you bought the cookies, so I can get the container LOL, that is so something I would do to buy something for the altered art in it.
happy creating

I've been away so I'm playing catch up on your challenges.
Thanks for doing these. I'm having a lot of fun with them.
I have limited supplies for these colours so had to do a bit of substitution.

Cute cup, Julie. I love, love, love the colors. Great challenge! Here's my SCS gallery photo http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/812053?cat=500&ppuser=6502 Can't put it on my blog for a couple of days, since it's a customer's birthday card and she should see it before my blog does. :o) Love your new pic! You look so relaxed!

I was crackin' up at your decision to buy two packs of cookies just to be able to stamp something. It is completely something I would do!!!!! It's really stinking cute! Now, what are you going to do with all those cookies??? :-)

So Cute. My daughter gave me a tumbler from Starbucks and I used DP as a background and put the grandkids pics in it. Get lots of comments when I use it.

Love these springy colors Julie -- tackled your challenge this evening after a busy SU! workshop. Here's my card, combined with Beate's weekend sketch challenge: http://stampmom.blogspot.com/2008/02/so-very-sweet-challenges.html
