Many of you were asking how I was storing my stamps in the DVDs that I got, and how many would fit inside.
Here is a tin full of High Hopes images, and the biggest one in there is 3.5 X 3.5. There are more than 20 images in there right now, so they really hold a lot.
You have also asked me if it sticks to the metal. Yes, it does, BUT not like it does to plastic. So, I went to my local $1 store, and bought some Grip-Tac. I cut it to fit inside (5 X 7 1/8), and rounded the corners with my punch. I then stuck it inside each side, and then put the stamps on top. They stick like mud on hair...hehehe. I have not atered any yet, but keep watching for that. I have an idea that I am playing with, and am hoping it will work out. Have fun and happy shopping - DVD link HERE!!
Didn't you tell us where to get the tins? I can not find that information.
Thanks

I need to know what this Grip-Tac is too? I don't think I've ever seen it, but love the way the stamps fit in the tins.

Great idea...do you keep your sets together or sort by flowers, bears, animals, etc.? Also, What is Grip-Tac. I think your $1 stores must be a lot better than the one here!

Julie,
These look great. I've been using cd cases for mine, but am thinking about the dvd tins for my acrylics.
What is grip-tac? Do they only have it in Canada? I don't think I've ever heard of it. Is it like clear contact paper?

Do you store your stampin up stamps this ways too and if so - how do you use the stamp - with an acrylic block or wood - and how do you make them re-stick with each use?
Thanks

Hi Julie -
I started storing my UM stamps in these awhile back and I LOVE it too! I stamp the images on front of the tins, so I can see all the stamps in each set. You need "archival ink" for this (got the lg one at M's). StazOn just doesn't work, esp. if you decorate w. alcohol ink first. I have a sample w. the alcohol inks in my SCS gallery (armywife97wp). ;)

Julie - your stamps are so neatly trimmed! I'm having difficulty getting a nice, even edge. How do you ever manage to get them cleanly cut? Do you use scissors or some other tool?
