I just HAD to try out the technique posted for the challenge over at SCS, t'day!! Doesn't it look awesome ?!?
I used my JCC06 for the colors, and pulled out my Cuttlebug, and stylized flowers folder for this card.
My card base is basic grey, then sage shadow and finally my technique layer. Want the same results??
You take your embossing folder and open it up, laying it flat on top of some scrap paper. There is one side that has the image raised - you don't want this side. Take your ink pad (I used pretty in pink), and rub it over the side that has the images indented it. Make sure you get it all over. If you want the ink to be smoother, use a brayer. Then close your paper inside (I used white), and run it through your Cuttlebug. GAWJUS!!
I stamped the bride from She's All That second generation in grey on white, sponging the edges in pink. The sentiment is from Lots of Thoughts, the SAB set, stamped also in grey. This was matted on sage and grey, before I punched it with my 1/4 circle punch. I threaded the grey taffeta through it, and added the image to the card with dimensionals. I then tied the ribbon, adding the scrap of pink gingham to the knot. I colored the bride's flower with my Sakura Stardust pen, for a little bit of extra bling. I didn't want to do much in the way of embellies, since I didn't want to hide the Cuttlebugged layer, too much. Hope you like it, and I am making a video tutorial, for all you visual learners. Have fun and happy stamping!!
P.S. - tomorrow's post - HOUSE PICTURES!

Talk about WOW factor! One question: how and/or with what do you clean the embossing folder to remove all the ink?
