My color concoction today, is from a card I made for WorldWin Papers awhile back. I just loved the softness and elegance of it, so I could hardly wait to share it with you.
I made this with a bridal shower in mind. The papers are actually a metallic paper called Petallics, but they were an exact match to my Stampin' Up! inks. So, the colors for JCC06 are :
- Pretty in Pink
- Sage Shadow
- Basic Grey
- Summer Sun (optional)
I kinda cheated, and the only grey is the sentiment, but it still passes...LOL. These are the papers I used from WorldWin HERE.
Coral Pink / Petallics (text weight)
Beargrass / Petallics (text weight)
Light Fairy Tale Pink / ColorMates
Light Glorious Green / ColorMates
I stamped the flourish from Baroque Motifs in sage on the fairy tale pink, punched the opposing corners with my larger corner rounder (Stampin' Up! - retired) and sponged it with pink.. I matted it on the green, that had been punched and sponged with sage.
I punched the pink flowers with the Spring Bouquet (Stampin' Up! - retired), and the white ones with the Three For You punch. I glued them together, and colored the centers with my yellow sharpie. I glued them to the flourish, only in the center, and then curled the petals up for more dimension. I tied the May Arts ribbon around the center, and heat cured the ends.
The base is the pink and beargrass (white) Petallics, and I stamped the stitch looking stamp from All In A Row over the seam in sage. I stamped the sentiment from Hugs and Wishes in grey and then clear embossed it to make it stand out. I then added the image panel with dimensionals, and for some extra sparkle, added Ice Stickles to the flower centers.
I totally wish I could capture, for you, the shimmer that is in this paper. It would be so beautiful for wedding invitations, and such. The Petallics line also has matching envelopes, so it can all coordinate perfectly. WOOHOO - someone will be lucky enough to get this card!! Just make sure your color concoction card is linked here by Wednesday afternoon, and I will use a random draw to pick the winner! Make sure you use the keyword JCC06 on your uploads on SCS, so we can all check them out!! Have fun and happy stamping!!

Hi - I really like this card. When I see the Baroque stamps in the SU catalogue, I don't think much of them but when I see what you create with them - well inspiration hits!

Julie - up at the crack of dawn for some unknown reason so thought I would try this out. Put in Mellow Moss for the Sage and Marigold Morning for the Summer Sun. Hope that's ok!
Thanks for a great challenge and a beautiful card (as always).
