Well, helloooo, handsome...LOL!
I just LOVE this newest stamp set from CC Designs, called Handyman Jack. I don't have any other set like it for a guy, and all the men on my in-laws side do carpentry work in one form or another. This is not a true replica of my "sexy" handyman, since he is A LOT dirtier than this when he is working!!
The BG is not patterned paper either. Christine also brought out a new BG stamp, Stripes, that I used for the plaid BG. I stamped the stripes with artichoke on mellow moss CS, and then the other way with not quite navy ink. This is going to be an welcome addition in my craft room. Can you imagine with me, some soft pastels colors on white for a cute baby BG, or red and green for Christmas? And yet, with these colors, it is the perfect masculine BG!
The CS used is moss, navy artichoke and confetti white. I colored him with my markers, cutting him out attaching him with dimensionals on the sponged artichoke, and navy.
I added the triangle on the base, just for something a bit different, and stamped on the sentiment in navy. I sponged the edges, and used some copper brads (Making Memories) along the diagonal and in the top corner. I matted it altogether and it was done!
This I made for my sister. Her boys are old enough to want to help with household chores, so now she has the job of assigning each of them a task or two.
I used pumpkin pie CS and THIS tutorial, to make a post-it note holder for her. She can write her jobs for each one and give them the sheet to go and get 'er done.
The base is cut out with one of the scallop rectangle Nestabilities (I use my Cuttlebug for this). If you want to see a Cuttlebug in action, check THIS OUT.
I stamped the words in black using my Karen Foster Snap Stamps, and then added some Bold Sequins from Queen & Co. Bonus for you - THEY ARE ON SALE!! I stamped Queenie from the Queenie Cleans set on confetti white, colored her with markers and attached her with dimensionals, as well. I then used some retired Stampin' Up! DP to insert in the pen, and wha-la, a "chore sheet"!
Hope you have a great day, and stay tuned for more designs for the stamps. Have fun and happy stamping!!
I have been studying all of your work closely for a long time now. I love handyman Jack and the fact that you made your own bkgr. paper.
I do have a question reguarding your use of sponging in this and all of your NCNP cards. Can you please tell me what you are using for the sponging technique and how you clean them for using over and over?? Many thanks. Also thank you for all you are teaching me and your wonderful cards!

I like the layout for HandymanJack and thought the bg was dp until I read your material. Great job on him and Queenie!
