So, did I make you think of the airline baggies?? BWAHAHAHA!!
Nope, I meant a SOFT sky gift bag. I really like those little gift bags that you can buy in the store, the ones that are white, but I wanted to make one myself. I didn't want to stamp it, but wanted to utilize the patterned paper that I am starting to lose myself in.
I started out with some Soft Sky Prints DP, and made the little bag, using white grosgrain for the handle. I added the strip of basic grey, that I used my corner rounder on to make the scallop edge on both sides. I then used my Coluzzle to make two ovals, one from vellum and one from sky CS. I then used my corner rounder punch on the vellum to get the scallop edge (Tutorial or Video).
I stamped the flourish from Baroque Motifs in white on the sky oval, and then embossed it. I used Iridescent Ice EP, so that it would be all sparkly.
You can click on the image for a better view.
I then matted the two together and made the dots in the scallop with the black marker. I died on of the Pretties flowers on the shy ink pad, and the used a gem brad to attach the two to the oval. I know it doesn't look like a gem brad, but that is cause I used some pearly fabric paint on top to make it look like a pearl. Yes, I know - GENIUS!! Except that after I did this, I finally found the pearly brads that Peggy sent me from PaperCrafts - But it actually worked really well, and was dry in about 10 mins. I didn't use the heat tool, cause then it would bubble up - I know this from experience *roll eyes*.
Anywho, I then stamped the sentiment from Happy Everything in basic gray on white and punched it out with the small oval. I added the bigger ovals to the bag with sticky strip and then the smaller oval with dimensionals. It is the perfect size for the little bottles of lotion, or a nice bag of CHOCOLATE...hehehe. Have fun and happy stamping!!
P.S. - I have had SOOOO many people ask me how I made my perfect bow on THIS CARD. I bought a BowMaker from theCardLadies.com. She is the best, and I have probably bought about 20 from her already! They make great gifts, and for only $10, you can't go wrong.
I have now finished the tutorial you can view it HERE.
