I think Lauren is an absolute genius!! She came up with a template to make these adorable Onsie cards, and I finally got the chance to make a couple. I actually taught this in my last class - GIVING FULL CREDIT TO LAUREN. I printed off her tutorial and in big bold letters at the top, it said it is designed by her. I really appreciate those of you who email me, asking for permission to use my ideas in their classes. I don't NEED you to ask, but I do appreciate it. If you don't, though, I would appreciate it if you would give credit where it is due. I was just informed by a few people (through emails) that they seen my exact card made, and a woman had taught it in a class, saying she came up with the idea.
OK - I am not complaining, and trust me, I do know that if I put it out there, it will be used! That is the whole reason I do it, to help y'all!! I guess in my world, the rose colored glasses help me not see them too often.
Stepping off my soapbox now, and getting on with the cards.
I stamped the pink one with paisley and pretty in pink ink, and the blue with flannel plaid and bashful blue ink.I used the same CS for the trim, using the instructions in Laurens tut. I added silver brads on the bottom, and for both, used the So Many Scallops stamp. I also used the In The Stars stamp set from the Mini Catalog. This was stamped in night of navy. On the pink sleeves, I used the corner rounder for the scallops, and on the blue, I faux stitched all the trim with my white gel pen. Hope you like it, and I apologize for going on, I guess I was a little frustrated.
I have been stamping for over 10 years. This card has been around for a long time. I remember getting the template when I taught at a DOTS (Dozens of Terrific Stamps, the old CTMH) convention. Every once in a while I see it resurface. It really is a cuties isn't it?

My gosh these are cute. As usual, you did a great job and I can appreciate that you would like to have the people give credit when using your idea. I know you do!!! Read it many times on this blog

It so bugs me when people try to get credit for somebody else's idea. Sure it's a creative world and people can come up with the same idea, but most often than not they're just casing, it's disappointing.
At least it doesn't stop you (or lauren!) from sharing your creativity! :-D

So cute Julie!! I've only made one of these so far. Haven't attempted to show anyone until I've mastered Lauren's tutorial...lol! They certainly are fun though!

I would get irritated by that too! It's even ok to say "I saw this idea somewhere--I can't remember where". But for her to pretend it was her idea--sheesh! Thanks for your great ideas and sharing them with us all. I check every day!

BEAUTIFUL!! But, of course, I am not surprised. ALL of your work is BEAUTIFUL!! :) I have been wanting to make these since Lauren first shared the tutorial on her blog. I have the same question as Jules, though. How do you use the background stamp and not have obvious overlap or gaps when you cover the whole onesie??? Mine NEVER looks this good. I would love to know this as well if you ever get a chance to share. Thanks for the inspiration!! ~ Judy

I've been doing a couple of onesies myself, also from Lauren's tutorial, once you make the 1st one, you can't stop :)
Yours are very nice!
Greetings,
Ilse.

This is a totally rant worthy subject! I always credit those I case in my workshops and even when I have used them as a gift! I didn't plagiarize in school, so why would I now? Those turned out awsome by the way!

Sorry that people do that to you. That is why I told Lauren that I print off her sketches, but they are for me only. I would not copy them to sell, or act like they were my own creation. I even write who I got the sketch from-for future reference.
These are cute. I like the paper you used for the "backgound".

These are just too sweet, cute stamping, love the scallop edges! That is a bummer when someone takes your idea and doesn't give credit, I don't know how they can do it!
