So, I went to the Brooks and Dunn / Alan Jackson concert last night. This is what we saw just before Brooks and Dunn came out, it was so cool.
They really rocked the joint, it was so awesome.
And then entered one of my FAVORITE musicians, Alan Jackson. He had such a calm air about him, and sang in that amazing voice. He put on an great show. I wish I woulda got the one song he sang on video, Where I come From. He had gone around Saskatoon, shot pictures of some of the landmarks, and buildings, stores, etc, that are truly Canadian, or Saskatoon only places, and flashed them across the big screen while he was singing - TOTALLY COOL, you shoulda heard that place roar!! So, yep , great experience, till we went outside...
The snow started early!!! It wasn't supposed to start till Saturday night / Sunday early morning, and there I was in a spring jacket, and t-shirt, walking a 1/2 mile to the vehicle. We tried to run, but we had to run into the wind, and it was taking our breath away.
I so do not look pretty, after I had been walking for that long in driving snow. That snow was matted right down to my scalp - and I had actually turned my head upside-down and shook it out first!! Nope - you can't photo shop that to look good...LOL.
Hope to have a card up today, and get my color concoction ready for tomorrow, have fun and happy stamping!!
P.S. - Jayden is doing a lot better. The fever is gone, but he is still napping for 4 hours a day. I don't mind, since he obviously needs the rest, and his energy is returning!
Wow what a lucky girl you are to see
both of them at one time. I have seen
Brooks and Dunn in concert here in Ct.
and they were fantastic. They started
their show the same way...I haven't seen
Alan Jackson though...He's awesome too.
Wow what's with all that snow? I'm glad
you had a gret time. Barb

Hi, Julie,

My husband is from Edmonton, Alberta so we love to hear about your winters and see the cool pictures you send. Stay warm and keep up the awesome blog!

My 17 yr. old DD would give her eye teeth to see him in concert. The child has loved him since forever. He was one of my grandma's favs as well. My DD doesn't even remember great grandma, but they have that link. DD loves the song Little Bitty. When she was little I called her my little bitty. We are so jealous you got to see him, but we sure aren't jealous of that snow!!!

Glad to hear that Jayden is doing better. It is a worry when they get so sick at that age. Lucky girl, I would give my eye teeth to see that show!! Snowing here in KELOWNA, too. Good day to craft and clean the craft room.

How fun - great pictures. I haven't seen AJ in years! B&D will be here in Dallas on 5/3 with Kenny Chesney. Can't wait to see all of them once again. Great blog. Kim

Wow - wasn't that an amazing concert - one of the best, loved the "Where I Come From" from Alan and the streamers from Brooks and Dunn. It took us over an hour to get out of the parking lot and you couldn't see your hand in front of your face until Dundurn and then is was clear sailing all the way to Regina. A lot of the tour buses were on the highway going to the performance in Winnipeg tonight.

Ahhhh--B&D, one of my all time favorite boy bands--those guys know how to party, huh? And Alan Jackson is solely responsible for turning around this girl who used to DESPISE country music--until I heard one of his songs being played in a theatre while I was waiting for the movie to start; I got tears in my eyes listening to it, and when the movie was over, I went right to the music store and bought his CD--that was the day that I decided that country music was no longer what my Mom used to listen to in the 70s. Thanks for sharing!

What a wonderful "spring" concert! An awesome combination! Alan Jackson is from a little town near me, in State of Ga, Newnan, GA, he has written so many songs of his growing up and his family. His immediate family still reside there. Love your snow, it is 81 degrees here today. Love you site, too. Hugs, nan

I went to the concert in Calgary on Wednesday - it was great. I love how AJ did the song a well making it specific to the town. Our had a lot of Flames symbols and it was truly fab. We have a lot of snow on the ground as well started Friday morning and has finally stopped.
