Here is my color concoction, as well as, a Featured Stamper card. I chose This Card from sf9erfan, and went to town.
First things first, the JCC12 colors this week are as follows :
- cameo coral
- bordering blue
- barely banana
- green galore
Doesn't it look so cheery ?!? Now to tell you of my changes, besides the colors.
First off, I flipped the layout, and we will get to why in a second or 7. I layered them a bit differently, and stamped stars, adding the brads after, used a sentiment, and did some faux stitching. I also cut one of the stars outside the box (Tutorial HERE).
The base is blue and the coral strip on it was faux stitched. I used the mat pack to place the holes, and connected them with my white gel pen. I stamped my stars from In The Stars (Occasions Mini), in blue and coral on shimmery white CS. I punched the blue ones with the 1 1/4 square and used the template of that to draw around the coral star. I cut that one out, and all 3 were matted on to green that was punched with the 1 3/8 square. I then cut my banana layer to be 1 5/8 square, and added these to the card, staggering them a bit.
I stamped the mini stars on the bottom in blue, and the sentiment off to the side. I finally added the brads to the center of the stars. So why did I flip the sketch?
Because I made a money holder! After I finished the card, I stamped the Happy Birthday on the inside with the green, to really make it pop on the white. This card measures 3 X 6, and here is the template, so you can make one too!! Click for a larger view.
SOOOOO, get out your CS and inks, and start stamping. You may get this card in your mailbox! Just make a card using my concoction, before next weekend, and I will chose a winner by random draw. If you do not have the exact colors, feel free to substitute, and be sure to add JCC12 to the keywords when you upload to SCS. Then link back here with your creation, so we can take a look, have fun and happy stamping!!
