I just needed a title for this card, and I couldn't think of anything else...LOL
Today's challenge over at SCS was to made a Double Pocket card. The cool thing is, you just fold and glue to get it! Directions are HERE.
Instead of gluing or using double-sided tape to hold mine together, I used linen thread after punching holes with my 1/16 punch. I used the Outlaw DP from Stampin' Up!, since I thought it would be perfect for a guy. I only made one insert, since I am using the other pocket for a gift card.
I stamped the "Genuine" image (from Bronc Buster) in versamark on vanilla, and them embossed it with copper Embossing Powder. I sponged the edges and the center in pumpkin pie, and then just the edges in chocolate chip.
I then used a stipple brush to add some chocolate ink over the whole thing. If you click on the picture, you will be able to see the results. It looks so aged in real life. I then drew on the stamp with my versamarker, so I could stamp only the one area. I stamped it on chocolate and embossed it with copper EP. I then cut it out and added it to the image with dimensionals. I then distressed the edges with my cutter kit *love that little tool*, and matted it on pumpkin and chocolate CS. Both these layers were sponged with chocolate and punched on top with the corner rounder. I added copper eyelets to the corners, and before I glued it to the cards, I stamped the flourishes from the set on the pocket in chocolate and pumpkin.
My insert is a sentiment from In My Thoughts (retired) stamped in chocolate on vanilla and it was sponged, as well, in pumpkin and chocolate. I stamped the star image on the bottom in chocolate (not shown), and then the flourishes all over it in river rock. I then matted it on chocolate adding the chocolate large oval that I had punched out. I added it to the insert, using the copper eyelets to hold it on. I really like this card, and I have the perfect recipient in mind. Have fun and happy stamping!!
Julie, your man pockets are AWESOME! Love everything about it.
Hugs and smiles

Wow - I love how aged that focal piece is! It reminds me of the leather tag on a cool pair of old jeans - very manly:)
