I'm back to helping you pick out your colors. The ones I chose for this week can be masculine or feminine. I made a feminine card, choosing to CASE THIS ONE from {Teneale}, since she was the Featured Stamper this week.
Your colors for JCC18 are as follows :
- mellow moss
- night of navy
- white
I stamped the linen BG (retired - SU) on moss in the same color, and then sponged the edges with the navy for my card base.
I stamped the dill - or in this case - Queen Anne's Lace from Garden Silhouttes (retired hostess - SU) in navy on the moss, and sponged those edges, as well. I added the sentiment from Holiday and Wishes (SU) in navy and then it was time to add the flowers.
I used Liquid Applique from All That Scraps, and just dabbed a bit onto each of the dots of the dill. I would do one flower, then heat it up, to make it puffy, until all were done. This way the ink won't leech into the product and change the color. I have learned this from experience...sigh!
I added the white tafetta and navy grosgrain ribbons and then matted it to the white CS. This was attached to my base with dimensionals. I really like the 3D effect of the flowers on the card, it is so cool in real life!
I would love to have you play along! If you upload your photo to SCS, be sure to use the keyword JCC18. If you put it on your blog, link it back here so I can check it out. If you are done before Saturday, you will be included in the draw to receive a card from me. Have fun and happy stamping!!

I love your card! I decided to give this challenge a try. You can see it on my blog:

I even used your paper torn roses on it. I love making those. My scan doesn't show the details very well of my Linen backgrounder on the navy, but you'll get the idea. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Hey Julie!
This was a gorgeous color combo! I had a hard time picking out an image that would do it justice, but eventually found one. I posted this to both my blog and SCS.

This is the most gorgeous card! I love Queen Anne's Lace, anyway, and I really like the simplicity of this. I can't remember seeing ribbon used in this fashion and it's fabulous. Of all the remarks I've seen about Liquid Applique I don't remember reading anything of it's penchant for absorbing ink color...in fact, I thought one must wait for it to dry before heating it. As you can tell, I haven't ever tried it...yet! Very helpful info...TFS
