The base of the card is black with pink pirouette layered on top. I stamped the grass image from Inspired by Nature with the same pink ink. I then tied on some vanilla grosgrain.
I made my sunset with THIS TUTORIAL, and then drew with a sharpie on some of the grass to make cattails. This was then matted on black and added to the base with dimensionals. The black butterfly (Martha Stewart punch) was added , gluing only the body down, leaving the wings free. I put some stardust stickles (from All That Scraps) over the body for added bling.
The sentiment, from Warm Words, was stamping in lack on shimmery white CS, and then punched out with my large oval punch. I then glued it onto black CS, and cut out the mat by hand. This was added to the image panel with dimensionals.
Now, I figured I'd give you some ideas of more colors to use with this technique :
- barely banana / summer sun
- apricot appeal / pumpkin pie
- so saffron / more mustard
- bashful blue / ballet blue
- almost amethyst / lovely lilac
- regal rose / rose red
- pretty in pink / regal rose
- mellow moss / always artichoke
- perfect plum / pale plum
- kiwi kiss / old olive
- baja breeze / pacific point
- really rust / tangerine tango
I though a nice guy combo would be creamy caramel and close to cocoa, and then stamp line of trees from Lovely as a Tree in chocolate chip on top. I hope this gives you a few ideas to go with, and I would LOVE to see what you come up with, so link back here, and I'll check out your cards. Have fun and happy stamping!!
Love. This. Card. So pretty!!

You are so clever! I was admiring the card with the cat tails and saw you had used the Inspired by Nature set and am thinking, it doesn't have cat tails wondering what was what. Then I read your description and THAT's where the cat tails came from (the Sharpie) It's a very attractive card.

Great idea to add the cattails to the grass! Guess who's going to use it when I use that stamp next time??? Love your pink/black color scheme too - the little black butterfly is just the perfect touch.

Hey Jules! Thanks so much for adding those other combos!! I intend on trying this very soon (if I can muster up some glossy c.s.) Do you think it would work on WW?? Anyway, again, your card is gorgeous--I really love the pinks with the black. I'm not even sure I own any black silouette stamps?
