I am going to keep this on top for awhile, so scroll down for newer posts.
Besides all the comments I got about sending cards, I also received a lot of emails. The address for you to mail the cards to is:
- Janzen / Ginther Families
- c/o Julie Buhler
- Box 1279
- Warman, SK
- S0K 4S0
I have decided to acknowledge every card that comes, and will post them here. This way, you will know when I have received it, and it will be my way of saying thanks. I will then give them to the pastor's family. After they have had a chance to look at them, they can then pass them to the other family, and then young family in need can keep them.
They updated us a bit in church this morning, and I don't feel right going into details, but WOW, really pray for them is all I can say. I was helping lead worship this morning, and I couldn't even sing the first song. I looked out and saw the families involved sitting there in tears, it just broke my heart, and I started crying right there on stage. They all really appreciated the cards I gave them, so I know they will love those that you send. Thanks in advance to those who have chosen to bless them in this way.
I HAVE MY CARD READY TO MAIL...DOES ANYONE KNOW THE AMOUNT OF POSTAGE NEEDED FROM THE U.S.????

I made a card and put it in the mail today. However, I am not sure how long it will take to get there from Florida.
In the mean time, here is the post of my blog...

Julie,
On "Heart of Worship" last Sunday they were sharing the Invitation to Comfort CD. If you go to the Heart of Worship website it is under the The Invitation Series.

Julie,
These families are in my prayers. I love the song you linked... It has been my "theme song" since it was released. I bought Mercy Me's CD specifically for this song. I lost my sister (very young) to cancer and then I fought cancer for 2 years. This song reminds me to continue to praise God even through the difficult times. He's always with us and He puts people into our lives to support us. It sounds like you're one of the special people God has placed into these family's lives. I will continue to pray for them, and for you too.

Julie, Thank you for providing an address. Something like this makes me feel so helpless. I will pray for all of the family and send out a card tomorrow. God bless you for being such a wonderful person!

Julie -
I have been offline for awhile with illnessess, accidents etc and apparently missed (and can't find) your earlier post(s) about these families. What type of card is needed. I don't know what to put on the inside without a little more info than this most recent post provides.
Thanks -
Jill

MY PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU!
Posted by: Sandy in NH | September 15, 2008 at 12:55 PM
Thank you for doing this for this family. I know that God will hear our prayers...prayers of strangers to this family, but prayers from His children who are called to pray for others.
This song is so appropriate. How hard it is to Praise God through the rain and storm. How hard it is to hear God whisper through the thunder that He is here...and always will. I pray first for healing for this familiy. And I also pray for total Peace for however God answers these prayers.
My father passed away last summer. And after a rain storm that hit when I heard the news, God sent me a rainbow with the words "I Promise"..."I promise that I have him"!! It's a long story, but if you want to read it, it's on my blog...

But God game me Peace (that transends understanding..Phil 4:7) to accept my father's death. I would have NEVER been able to deal with his death without God and I can't image those who don't know my Savior and know how he can heal broken hearts and all wounds!!
I will send a card to this family. Thank you again.
