About not giving your the rest of the finished card yesterday. I ended up having to take a screaming boy to the doctor. Turns out, Jayden, has a bad ear infection. When he found out he wouldn't be "poked" (get a needle), he finally let me take him in. He started his crying at about 1:00pm, and we finally had him calmed down about 6:00pm. He was still a mamma's boy, though, so I cuddled my little one, and finally sent him to bed. Right now, I am in the midst of baking buns that I didn't get to do during the day. Since I have to let it rise, I figured I'd show you the card!
Here is the birthday girl from the newest Glam Girls III set being released from CC Designs on the 10th of November.
The first mat on my card is only 1/8 of an inch smaller than the CS, so that you can't see the envelope flap on the front. So my red layer is 6 3/8 X 3 1/2. The patterned paper is 6 1/4 X 3 3/8. I make it up as a card front, and only glue it to the CS / envelope base when I am done. This way everything is hidden, and you can stamp on the inside with no ribbon, brads, eyelets, etc., protruding.
I paper pieced her pants from a Basic Grey 6 X 6 pad, but the rest is colored with THIS TECHNIQUE. I added a pink glow around her with my aqua painter, matted it on kiwi, and attached the brads. It was added to the base with dimensionals.
On the inside, I stamped the coordinating sentiment. I left lots of room to write a message, or even stamp another one.
Well, it is time to start rolling out the buns. Hope you enjoyed the TUTORIAL and the finished card. Rachel already whipped one up, HERE is hers for you to GAWK at, it is so adorable!! She used one of the new Sarah Kay stamps, available from All That Scraps. Have fun and happy stamping!!
meant to add that I hope your son's ear infection clears up soon! poor guy!

Hope he's feeling better today, ear infections can make them feel really miserable.
