OK - here it is. And it is still the 16th, just late *roll eyes*. Quick, get your supplies so we can get started!!
First you need the cardstock. This is all you need to complete the tic tac box, except for decorating purposes.
You need one piece of 2 3/4 X 5 for the outside. You need 2 pieces of 3 1/2 X 2 1/2 for the pockets. You need 2 pieces of DP cut to 1 1/2 X 2 5/8 and one strip measuring 7 X 1 1/4.
Now it is time to start scoring.
Score the 2 3/4 X 5 CS on the long side at 1 3/4 and 3 1/4. Then, glue on the DP to the two ends. You can also add it to the middle, but as you can see that is optional...LOL.
Now taking the 2 pieces that measure 3 1/2 X 2 1/2, set it in the long way. Score it at 3 1/4 and 2 5/8. Flip it and score the other side the same (you can see the score lines better if you expand the second picture). Then on the short side, you will score it at 2 1/4 and 1 5/8. Fold on all the score lines, to make sure they are bendy.
Now the corners need to be cut as shown in the first picture. You can see which score lines I cut, if you click on the picture again. Then, adding glue to ONLY THE BOTTOM FLAP, attach it to one side of the 2 3/4 X 5 piece.
Then, you add glue to the side flaps, and glue them onto the box, making sure that it fits right down onto the bottom. The second picture is what it should look like.
Now you need to score the 1 1/4 X 7 piece of CS. You will do this at 1 1/2, 2 7/8, 4 1/8, and 6 1/8. Fold it aroun you box starting in the front. Then add sticky strip to one end and adhere them together. Now the rest is up to you - start decorating. Here is my finished project.
Again, the color of the tic tac boxes don't match, but it looks yummy anyway. I added a strip of Alpine ribbon around the belly band, and then used the Deer Friends Hostess set to make the embellishment for the front. On the one I made HERE, I just attached a ribbon behind the front, and tied it shut. So you have a choice on how to finish it up. Have fun and happy stamping!!
Hey Julie, this adorable TicTac holder is awesome and should be pretty straight-forward for me to do, especially since Santa gave me a little sneaky-peaky as to what one of my gifts will be ~~ Scor-Pal!! WooHoooo. Heheheheee I really adore how you used just simple paper and some ribbon and blew this project right out of the park!! !!
Thanks for sharing :)
